It's apparent by now that CoJ are the people we need to convince for Legends 3. Why don't we send letters and artwork to them? It will be much more pricey to send mail to CoJ but it's not really that much money for one letter and some artwork on each persons behalf. It's worth a try for sure. Imagine CoJ getting hundreds of letters from America, it's sure to make an impression. (If you can make an impression on their cold, cold hearts.) I know what you're thinking, 'I don't know Japanese' Well you can send a google translated version of your letter along with the original, and art has no language barrier!
What do say? Good idea?

This sounds like a fantastic idea! I may do something tomorrow while I'm at work! I just need to get a hold of CAPCOM of Japan's address! Also when should our deadline be? that way they all arrive in a mass delivery?

Depends on how fast you think we can get the fanbase to write letters. Once we set this up we can figure a date. This MIGHT be their address:3-1-3 Uchihirano-machi, Chuo-ku, Osaka 540-0037, Japan I got it off their Q&A on Capcom Japan but we need to confirm it. We want it to go to the right place.

When we did the mail in to CoA, I bought a couple of international stamps as well, and I would really like the chance to use them. If we could confirm the address, that would be great. I typed that address on google and lots of sites popped up, like this one, that shows the same address...

We'd probably need a recipient to send the letters to. It'd make the trip out of the mailroom a lot more successful, and a more solid translator than Google would be immensely helpful. Otherwise, that sounds like a great idea!

We'll see if CoJ has a community manager or the like. Google really isn't good enough but I'm not sure if we could get translators to do all of the letter. I think HF and Raijin would have their hands way too full. :06:
Then again we do have GetMeOffTheMoon Japan, do you think we could contact them and ask if they were willing to help translate?
EDIT: It's really hard to find anything about community managers or any employee at all of CoJ. I could use some assistance. Also, and this is the funny part, the most prevailent thing on CoJ's website is their stock and shareholders. It takes up half the page and most of the 'Support' section is focused on them. In contrast to CoA which is all about games.
Edit EDIT: I was thinking that the Japanese devroom would have a community manager, wouldn't they? So do we have any translated JPN Devroom pages?

As far as I know, the Devroom in Japan was run directly by the devs themselves, without any PR people. Just Kinako. We already know the devs are on our side and just aren't allowed to show it. What we need to do is send this stuff straight to the suits.

Well we could either send the mail to Kenzo Tsujimoto, the chief CEO, Katsuhiko Ichii, the director of Consumer Game Business, or some smaller person under them that could relay the message/letters. I'm not quite sure which. First response would be to send it to the head honcho of Capcom, Kenzo there, but Mr. Ichii is the director of games, and maybe we should send our mail to a lower officer which might be more inclined to listen. Tell me what you guys think. Here's a list of Directors if you want to mull it over. There's also a list of deputy like officers linked in it. www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/company/officer01.html Edit: here's some dark comedy for you. If you notice on that site, the Capcom Invester Relations, the image at the top of the page is Megaman. In fact he it's the only game on the page. :07:

@ Loken: And you linked to a 404 error. Was that intentional?

No, not intentional at all. I've fixed it now but I don't know what was wrong. I copy and pasted it from the site again and it was exactly the same URL, and I didn't leave out any characters. Anyway tell me which you think we should do. If we do this we need to send it to the best person possible!
