Just like the last, vocal quality of the VAs is top-notch, and the script is well-done too. For that I congratulate you guys. ;D ...What I'm not as keen on is the feel of this game. With the gameplay being, well, not up to the par of the PS1 games, you're pretty much relying on the cutscenes to make up for it...and so far that doesn't seem to be the case. They feel a lot more like the 'quick gag' 70s anime Legends was partially inspired by, which ends up altering the dynamics of the character interaction (without the other influences, those relationships become more superficial) and removes much of the 'heart' the main games had. This isn't helped by the (admittedly understandable) limited animation of the 'scenes, which only serves to raise that feeling to a more obvious level. In terms of characterization, Teisel is somewhat off, walking around on the battlefield taunting Trigger directly and taking orders from Tron as if she were suddenly the leader of the Bonnes, and the Servbots, while funny, have lines that sound incongruous with how they've been portrayed in, say, MoTB. It's great to see that the game is liked, though, and I look forward to seeing more, if just to find out what happens next. ...Also: @jeep: I think this is the first post I've made in this thead. 0_o

What bugs me most is the walking animation. Jeez, how could those devs not realize how stupid that looks! But the fan dubs are definitively fantastic. :13:

Now this is amazing. <3 I've always wanted to know about this game, it was a piece of Legends that I hardly knew anything about, and that bothered me. So to get the chance to see a playthrough of it, dubbed in English by fans, makes me very, very happy! The comedy seems spot on, too. While the gameplay seems to be very simplified, I think it looks pretty good for a cell phone game. Everyone who helped out with the voices, translations, etc, should be extremely proud for their hard work! I can't wait to see more.

Part 1-3 is awesome! Well, not the gameplay, it's fairly bad (It is an early 3d cell phone game after all) but the cutscenes are pretty funny and you guys' dubs are excellent. (Teisel was much better this time!) Sniping the Blumebear though, that was so bad. :24:
By the way, I know the dialog is the original, but did add in the music or was it already in the game as well?

I'm fine with Legends music edited in, it sounds good, but could you supply us with the original three tracks? We could probably add them to the station.

I still misunderstand why the fact all of the natural sounds having been edited out is such a big deal, since the objective is as runner said. Since it's a cellphone game, I would have expected it to sound much less... entertaining. But I can also see why some people would want to have the original soundtrack as well, cache crazies. But, they're aiming to please the masses, not the individuals. Also, I wouldn't call the gameplay "bad", just... dare I say it... "prehistoric." Haaah. Why, if I had one of those cell phones back then (and was Japanese), I'd delete all of my Games (including Solitaire) and have just DASH on there! Heck yeah! Back on subject... More classic toon scenarios as Teisel is dumbfounded to discover that raising his voice causes people to spot you! I suppose I'll be the first one to point out too, what the heck is up with that thumb of his? It's HUGE! That servbot bit at the end was incredibly corny, but still fun to watch the first time. I just don't want there to be a second time... Heh. Keep it up!

The original 5-island tracks are all included in the first post. Heat Man ripped them ages ago.

But still, you guys are basically giving us HALF of what we want to see. Sure, there's the gameplay, but the SOUNDS are what makes the game complete. The fact that you guys are taking out the soundtrack is just as bad as seeing that there are TWO sideroutes and the guy doesn't go in Really? I'm just watching it for the awesome voice-acting. Let them finish the 5-Island Adventure before making them do a 100% playthrough. Anyhoo, cut em' some slack, Truner. I don't think this kind of thing is easy to make.

I'm with GreenPow, the purpose of this videos is to show us a quick look at the game translated and dubbed, wait for a "let's play" and then we could see everything in game Truner.

Honesty, with just three different tracks they are doing the audience a favor. The edits aren't a big deal at all. I'm glad we do have the original tracks for posterity though. Completely irrelevent: The spell checker wanted to change 'arn't' to 'ain't'. I think it may be Southern.

No way Truner, I think what they're doing is pretty spot on. Sure, he's skipping silly side-paths, but that's something I'd probably be doing if I were the one playing anyway. I think the point is to get a painless general look at the gameplay, while getting the storyline under our belts. Besides... We wouldn't wanna be watching just subtitles if we were trying to make an impression of people who aren't fans of Legends! That'd be completely obliterating the point! But still, maybe once it's all said and done, if you ask nicely, they'll do a DASH-through with all of the side-paths, as well as the original dialogue and implied "fun". Mikey inserts implied fun here:

Do NOT blame Snorlax. If you must, blame this guy. Also, are we to assume that the servbots are different numbers in each scene? Dashe wasn't playing them this time.

I really enjoyed part 3 as I found Teisel to be a real riot.
Great job! Looking forward to the next part.
