Heat Man from TMMN (also known as nekomancer here) has been living in Japan for the last month, and he picked up a copy of Rockman DASH: 5-Island Adventure.Unfortunately, he didn't release any details like the names of the islands or the weapons you can pick up (though Mega Man clearly had his Powered Buster on for at least two of the videos). There is a pair of boots that you can equip to prevent taking damage on lava, and they make the final boss battle much easier. Some of the ruin designs looked pretty cool, too. All in all, it's a bit lacking in content and plot for full retail treatment, but due to its episodic format, it probably wouldn't be that hard for a team of amateur 3D game programmers to reconstruct if they ever wound up with access to the level maps. At least not as hard as, oh, say, creating a 90-minute CG movie. Or anything JMC touches at all. The Five Islands TMMN translation, arranged by chapter: 1. Sealos Island2. Paulan Island3. Ilks Island4. Urakoi Island5. Ancient Towers

Finally! Some more info and videos about this game!
I can't believe something like this was posted just now. This game is old and anyone would think something like this would have been posted sooner.
Thanks for the information!

I have to repeat Adrian's words: "Finally! Some more info and videos about this game!" I'm very surprised and excited, no one had the chance to record some gameplay out of this one.
He says that the game is very short, but if I could play it I would finish it at least 10 times (in a month) the graphics are very good for a cell game, but the controls seem very hard to use, also it seems that the lock on function doesn't work very well, sometimes the cursor just appears in front of megaman, the animations look very amateur too but who cares?!
PS: I don't like that pose of Megaman.

I've never seen this before, is it still possible to get? I would even buy that phone from the guy in the vid It is still possible to get. However, getting it has always been a bit complicated... 1) You need to be subscribed to a Japanese App Company which's name I forgot. 2) You have to download the game from their software database. 3) You can only play the game where you are inside one of those towers that transmit the signal to play games from that company's service. (Actually, when you are within the range of those signals). You can find those towers in a lots of parts of Japan. Even if you have the game installed in your phone, you can't play it at all unless you are within the range of the signal of the towers.

Yeah, Adrian's got it. You'd be more likely to get a shot at playing it if someone decided to rebuild it for PC and Capcom lets it slide.

Or... 1) Visit or move to Japan 2) Get a compatible cellphone 3) Suscribe to the service 4) Go to one of the signal towers 5) Download the game 6) Play the game without leaving the tower

I am quite delighted that there's finally some footage and more information on this game. I was always curious ever since I heard about the game, yet there wasn't even a video footage from Nico Video.

I get fascinated with the way the ruins look like, each seems different from the others, and there are high platforms with ladders (as the article mentioned: "MML never had that feature) they seem very fun to play, the ice ruin also has slippery floor!

The good news is that Heat's planning on going very in-depth with this game in later updates, so definitely stay tuned at The Mega Man Network to check out what this game's all about. I wonder if we'd be allowed to use the resources he comes up with on MMLS's page.

One email is all we would need for the answer to that question. I hope he doesn't mind, i thought it was sad 5-island can't have a section in the main Megaman Legends Station website because of lack of information.

Wow. The voice-acting in that dub is pretty awesome. Megaman sounds perfect, and Teisel's voice is amazingly close to the original voice-actors. Great work!
