...Not noticeably...? :17: That's like a 200% increase! Must...fix...

All right, so I checked out the issue in Chrome and saw what you guys are seeing. Googled the problem and found that all you have to do is Refresh the page (or Shift+Refresh for good measure). The code works fine in Chrome, it's just a case of not applying itself to images already in your cache.
So, kinda sucks for anyone who doesn't notice this thread, but that's the solution. Either clear your browser's cache or do a refresh whenever you happen across one of the troublesome avatars. I also saw that ProBoards is looking to make 150x150 the new standard whenever they release the next version.

@ fAB: That makes it a good call to start things early for making 'easing-in' quick huh.

I kept Hank's avatar huge to function as a test image, and it's still huge even after clearing my cache, refreshing, and shift-refreshing. Something's still not working.

So we have Firefox and Chrome (and possible IE) being test browsers for the forums.
Is anyone using other browsers such as Safari, Netvigator, unnamed hardware-embedded browsers, etc? (Checking for a compatibility issue here)

Yeahp, I can confirm that HankyPanky's avatar is still massively massive on my end too. Tried doing a full Refresh, but nothing changed. I'm getting the same behavior from Firefox, actually, so I don't even think this is necessarily a Chrome-specific problem. Actually, Firefox is acting weird. It seems to be working now, but it doesn't work whenever I do a full Refresh. :06: Internet Explorer seems to work fine, and Opera worked after a full Refresh, but I can't seem to get it to display properly in Chrome or Firefox, no matter what I do.. :21:

Almost everything's working here on Firefox 4.0.1. Images are capped to 150px. Only thing that's broken is that user-defined resolution in Mod Profile is no longer working...the image is forced to 100% the original (up to 150) instead of stretched or compressed to user-defined res. I've been using this to save a couple KiB off my animated avatars while keeping as high a resolution as possible...non-square pixel aspect ratio FTW

New rankings! The logical approach is definitely much better, yeah. Interesting about the eye, though- it seems a lot of people lost some of them- and Pitch and Dashe gained more (of course)... Regarding avatar sizes: those are still supposed to be small, right? : o Also: check out nerdmccloud's avatar as seen on this page. Thing stretches the page, it does. @pitch: Wasn't the Hanmuru Doll club the original (slightly less benign?) club anyway? : P At any rate, I'm personally set to become a Giwan soon, so I guess I'll be the only person in the Giwan club for now. :01:?

@raven If I am getting script errors, it isn't telling me anything about any script errors. But it doesn't matter, I guess. I don't use Firefox; if other people are running fine with Firefox, that's cool. @pitch: Wasn't the Hanmuru Doll club the original (slightly less benign?) club anyway? Yes indeed it was. The ol’ Humaru Doll Club/Humaru Hood [sic] thread. The one I knew nothing about ’til a good few years after the fact. That's why my little congratulations sig message had to be changed there. Don't really want to associate something cool, like reaching 1,000 posts, with that mess. :21: Ah well.

Ah man, now my avatar is inappropriate... At least this gives me an excuse to try out all those thumbnails.

I don't gain Reaverbot eyes or titles like everyone else, and haven't since I was a Large Sharukurusu back in 2005. In fact...I don't even remember what my rank from back then would have been with this system...probably Cannam, since it was a little under the 400-post mark.

Looks like Dashe naturally gains rep quickly. I wonder how she does it. Granted, falling back to certain reaverbot rankss, the most common seeming to be Hanmuru, doesn't necessarily make it a bad thing. It's like a big fish in a small pond being moved to a lake or an ocean, or something like that. There's tons more ranks for the smaller reaverbots, and now having 3 or more eyes actually means something. Right Dashe? Soon I'll be four-eyes again. and speaking of which... Pitch is watching you. always.

Nah, I don't gain rep that quickly. Back in mid 2005, the highest post count was only somewhere around 700-800, and that was with Forum Game posts counting towards the total.

I am extremely relieved that the avatar sizes had now increased to 150 x 150, as some pictures look very ugly and/ or pixelated. Pity avatars larger than the maximum height and width couldn't be edited via the modify profile section, but oh well.
I liked the fact that the ranks were also changed as well. But, I do have a question: For those that had more than 3000 posts, would they get a special rank? Or would their rank stay as a Colossus?
