As everyone likely knows, one of the sub-sites of The Main Gate is called Alternate Trigger. It's a 3D comic featuring the Mega Man Legends characters as they are pulled into an alternate reality. The comic started back in December 2003 with Part 01, and received addition Parts 02 and 03 between then and late 2004 before effectively dying for years. As of February 2009, Part 04 has finally come to revive the comic and take it to a whole new level. Please use this thread to discuss or comment on anything pertaining to Alternate Trigger. altrigger.legends-station.com/

I use a program called Corel Dream 3D for the modeling and rendering. All of the text, some of the backgrounds, added effects, borders, and whatnot are all done in Photoshop.

Corel Draw 3d, I believe you have to purchase. And to pay those pretty pennies for it you have to be pretty devoted to creating many great things with it. I've also heard of downloading the program with serial cracks, etc. But doing that is something you do at your own risk, taking the illegal route of it, that is.

LOL Actually the gap was 6 months and 4 days. ^_^;;
As part of The Main Gate, Alternate Trigger is now a part of an actual web site, and its advancement becomes higher priority. Give me time, it's only been a month and a half since Part 02, I'm working on it...

Bonus Labora!
That a bit of Latin meaning Good Work. Don't let anybody tell you thats' not good, because it is. True you are more experience than me, but still if I tried something like that then, well, just imagine Teasel's voice, "Look Tron those colored rocks look just like that BLUEBOY. In an abstract, nutbag sort of way."
Sigh, well I guess I just have to stick to whatever it is I do.
P.S. I'm not going to tell you to hurry up with set-3 because I feel for someone when they say their schedule is just too packed, but you might conceder giving us a clue as to what project you think/feel like finishing next because I tell you without MML3 I'm dying for a MM hit and those other games just aren't the same. Help me, I'm a MegaMan addict. Maybe we should start a help group or something. OR MAYBE THATS A BAD IDEA... well debatable, but benedictitie!

Well... I hate giving a date, because that means meet the deadline or people get really itchy for it. LOL But, the way things are looking now, I think it's safe to say Part 03 will arrive within the next two weeks, and no later.
So I hope everyone's looking forward to it!

Well, having seen the hinting comment in Shelldragon's art thread, I felt compelled to respond here. >_<;; Be it known that my last post in this thread was not simply "sugary words". At that time I honestly thought that it would be ready within those two weeks, and quite honestly within one week- though I didn't dare say that just in case. But as usual, things in life came up suddenly and time I expected to have simply wasn't there. So yes, I'm sorry to say we're sitting here almost a month later and not a Part 03 richer. See why I said I don't like giving a date? Legends Station Version 3 is where ALL my "spare" time is going right now. I'm working about 6 hours on it during work days, and being off work yesterday I spent about 10 hours on it before I finally just had to crash for a movie and then head to bed. So, in my usual fashion I'm going to apologize to the waiting fans of Alternate Trigger once again. Sorry it has been taking so long, I'm as eager to complete Part 03 as you are to read it. I'd say though that you needn't bother checking to see if it's been updated until Legends Station 3 has officially launched.

Why not show a page when it's finshed, fab? Why do you wait till a whole part is finished to show at the Main Gate? I've been thinking about that for awhile, and I just had to ask!
Happy? T_T

I would refer to "comic" as the entire ongoing series. What you are calling "comic" is actually a "page". And what you call a "chapter" has been officially labelled as a "Part". Each Part has a theme, some set of events that holds it together around a centric idea. Part 01 was about getting to and figuring out the alternate world. Part 02 was about finding equipment and supplies necessary to set out on their quest. Part 03 will of course focus around their trip into the ruins. Each Part is a piece of the whole comic, but it's a collection of pages which go together and have a start and a finish of sorts.
Now, if I were to release one page at a time, you might be cut off in the middle of a scene... Do people who make comic books sell single pages? o.o Nope, they come in books. Simple as that.
However, if that answer isn't good enough, consider this. The process I go through to make the comic is: 1} Make a rough outline of the story and jokes/gags. 2} Create all 3D models which are intended to be used. 3} Render the models into 2D pictures and put together pages. As you can see, the actual pages come at the end, and once I get going on them it's usually all of them at once between 1-2 weeks. So, if it takes 4 months to get a 4 page Part released, it's not like I could release 1 page per month even if I wanted to. All pages would be actually made within the end of the 4th month. You see?
