There's definitively something off about Tron indeed... No it's not the fact that she's holding a revolver. ANYWAY, I always thought that Tron would look oh-so-much-better with her hair down rather than that crazy hair style of hers. And she looks so amazing in the last panel that I almost squealed. That and your "next page teaser avatar" HF. Horray for Tron without 300 kg of hair gel Thanks for the feedback! Having a look at this page again, I have to admit the consistency feels all over the place (the 'new look' probably didn't help either). I'll just have to focus more the next time she appears. "Sustain" should be "sustained" for tense consistency. It definitely makes more sense to have Gramps and the mayor tied up. Having them just standing around in a half-destroyed city hall like nothing was wrong was weird. Good point.I'll do a fix when I get home. Thanks! (maybe I should run things through you as quality assurance before making any updates...) As you mentioned as well, the events in City Hall felt underwhelming in the game, and Bon was obviously not up to the task. Hopefully placing Tron here threatening the Mayor would add to the story I have in mind.

Now I'm wondering what you've done with Bon, since Tron's taking care of city hall. Is he acting as her bodyguard? Why am I asking these questions like you're going to answer them early?

Bon obviously can't fit inside without possibly bringing down the building, and Tron's got her little platoon of Servbots in City Hall so security detail is being covered by them. Keeping to the game's key plot points, the fight against Bon would come somewhere in between Tron and Teisel's giant machines boss fights. (I admit it doesn't tell much either way, but hey it's something right?)Speaking of which, this brings the question as to how an army of only 40 Servbots can be commandeering what seems to be hundreds of gun batteries, small airships and other ground vehicles so far between each other. I personally go with the idea that some of the machines are running on some kind of auto-pilot (which might also explain random cases of artificial stupidity in the games).

Update: Last one for the year, but the chapter's not quite over yet! At least the last few pages are my take on how Barell and Amelia were not simply sitting around inside City Hall while they were under attack. A quick look back on how this chapter started and (somewhat) picked up from there. I drew the first two pages before going into a several-month hiatus, and resumed from page 3 after the break and I felt that the quality had a small bump around then. Being an action-based chapter, I enjoyed playing with the different frame layouts compared to the first chapter while maintaining the constant page sized format. Practice with some of the characters once again felt needed, and I hope it'll get more natural over time and more practice (if the WIP drawing from this year's SS is a good direction to go with, perhaps?). But anyway, looking forward to whatever happens for better or worse in 2015, so here's to a Happy New Year!

Yeah, I like that direction. Keep going in it. Truth be told, though, I actually never noticed a quality bump! Since the story's the focus, readers are less likely to notice any difference with the art. The way I see it, the readers who don't even draw will notice anything going on with the art even less than I did.

So now we have Leopardos treading city hall huh? The Bonnes really didn't pull any punches. I can't wait to see the Feldynaught in action, but how in the world is Rock going to defeat it without a buster? And then Bon too? I really wonder how ruined the town will be after all these shenanigans. Rock is going to have to donate alot of zenny!
I'd also like to commend you on adding the Tron interrogation to the story. I never really thought about what was Tron doing before the Feldynaught fight. I suppose just over seeing the destruction.
What I really like is how unflappable Gramps is. He. Does. Not. Care.

Yeah, I like that direction. Keep going in it. Will do! Ha! Well I guess I need to persist on this project as long as I could to reap any results. So now we have Leopardos treading city hall huh? I really wonder how ruined the town will be after all these shenanigans. Rock is going to have to donate alot of zenny! Worst of all? A huge amount of the damage was not his fault at all. Roll is by no means going to be happy about this or the family savings.
My idea of Tron is that she's the kind who takes a very hands-on approach to leading her teams, especially knowing that this helps morale among the less-experienced Servbots (the "elites" in the Blumebear supposedly being some of the exceptions). This way, I can find an excuse to practice drawing her more often.
As for Gramps, yeah he doesn't really emote much with his lack of visible facial features. It works in my favor though since plot-wise, he has seen far worse in this adaptation (I wonder...) so this is really kind of child's play to him.
Update: First page of the new year is up! Subtle subtext is subtle...
I mentioned it in my other posts, but I'll be pretty busy with my personal stuff for some time so I will most likely miss a new page update (but I'll see if I can throw something up as filler). Thanks everyone!

Oh dang, I was really busy yesterday and forgot to mention the grammar mistakes! "We're getting nowhere if we keep hiding like this" has conflicting tenses and should be "We'll never get anywhere if we keep hiding like this!"
"...they would've not even made it to the finals!" should be constructed like "...they wouldn't have even made it to the finals!"
The Servbot driving that Leopordo must really hate baseball.

That servsbot's hand freaked me out. Had to stare at page a while! I really want to know why those cops thought it was cool to start talking sports in a crisis. I think they've retained a kind ineptitude of the originals.

Thanks again for the grammar checks! And again, sorry for taking so long to respond. I got the Halcyon Days' popular sport idea from what we had in an earlier discussion; I had some ideas flying around, but I'll let you all decide exactly what kind of sports they're actually playing. I've had enough fun putting in subtle team names to other things... That servsbot's hand freaked me out. Had to stare at page a while! I really want to know why those cops thought it was cool to start talking sports in a crisis. I think they've retained a kind ineptitude of the originals. What can I say? Even in a remote uncharted island and lack of global Terran network, sports are serious business! As mentioned before, sorry I can't make any updates for a while due to crazy stuff happening here keeping me from working on things. To compensate for it, I'll be posting occasional drafts, starting with a DASH 2 shot:

Blue boy looks a little older here. I can't exactly place why. And a little bluer, which I can definitely place. Good luck with your crazy stuff!

Also a quick note: Thanks for waiting everyone! I believe the updates can resume starting this Wednesday (or Tuesday night for most of you)! So stay tuned for creepy Servbot hand action (as Loken puts it)!

Well it is his DASH2 look... Yes, and in the actual games he actually managed to look and sound younger over the course of a year. I'm glad to see you've decided to avoid that phenomenon this time.

Well... I never thought about that until you mentioned it! Update: And we're back! The least I want to do is to finish this chapter, so here goes!
