Made this a couple of days ago or so. It's essentially a basic video guide to using Volnutt in TvC. Hopefully this proves to be useful!

Even though I'll probably never play TvC, that was so worth watching just to see Volnutt kicking the tar out of Zero near the start. Nice job!

I have TvC, actually. After I got it, I stopped playing it after a few days. Couldn't get around the fact that it's just basically a button-smasher to most everyone...which definitely isn't my kind of game. But it's nice to see that you can do more than button-smash. Might actually have to start playing it again. Anyone up for some Wifi?

The subject of organizing some TvC games came up last week in the Paintchat. I forget who brought it up though, probably Buster considering the timing. Anyway, I meant to go get my friendcode copied down then but kept forgetting and putting it off until just now. So here's me:
RAIJINK - 2278-8222-8828
I haven't been practicing, and I was never very good to begin with, so I'll probably be easy prey, especially to BC if he plays like that, yowza!
I like to switch characters often to keep things interesting, but I usually start with Polimar and Volnutt (in their green colours, natch).

My god, this is awesome. Useful, yes. But regardless of it, I'm still gonna get my rear-end whooped when someone else uses Volnutt against me. :01: If they didn't make his weapon system so darn extremely complicated, then I'd use him more often. (This would also make earning his second Wi-Fi icon thingy easier probably if I have to use him to unlock it.)
It's good to see there's more TvC players on here! I can get my code if anyone wants it, but they're gonna have to PM me for it, 'cuz I'm too lazy to just post it.

TvC was my first fighter, so I barely managed to beat the game on the easiest star difficulty. It didn't help that I didn't want to play as anyone other than Mega Man, so when he died the partner was dead weight. I even tried to learn Zero, but I couldn't pull off any of his moves. I really should buy a classic controller, the gamecube controller's d-pad killed my thumb.
This video showed some extremely helpful stuff, I do want to go back and get better at playing as Mega Man, and I'll be copying what I saw in the video when I do! xD

(This would also make earning his second Wi-Fi icon thingy easier probably if I have to use him to unlock it.) Not strictly speaking. The Servbot icon is earned by buying the 3rd colors for all Capcom characters. 3rd colors become available to purchase by beating the 4th stage giant in Arcade mode with the corresponding character. So you would just need to have every Capcom character deliver the final blow to the midboss at least once.

I haven't been playing it a whole lot now since school started, so I kinda need to get back into the feel of playing TvC again. (Now if I can learn to stop constantly activating the Baroque combo when I'm close to death. :07:)

Yeah, I think we should all pair up and play together. Somehow keep of win-loss record of everyone. :3
Possibly for Brawl as well?

That would be awesome. I'd try and participate(which I've done a depressingly small amount of here recently)!

Someone besides me needs to post a friend code if there's to be any matches.

Thanks for all of the feedback, I really appreciate it. Interestingly enough, I'm having a "Dashe Moment"; where my video was picked up by a major fighting game site! I may consider making an advanced guide in the near future.
Anywho, my Friend Code is: 3352-5572-9004
I'm up for matches whenever I get some extra free time. I generally run Volnutt/Viewtiful Joe, but I'm trying to experiment with other partners for MM as well.
If they didn't make his weapon system so darn extremely complicated, then I'd use him more often. That alone is what makes Volnutt such an under-used character. I've seen guys crank out 100% combos with him, but it's an extremely complicated process. He's the best character that nobody uses! (It's almost symbolic when you compare him to Zero)

You know, Volnutt is a prime character for beating Yami with no hits. The Shield Arm can be used to negate all damage while you use the buster to nip away at his health piece by piece. Perfect for getting certain unlockables for certain characters.

Yes, it's very complicated. (Which changes two scenarios for me: it makes it very hard for me to use him during the game, and it makes it very easy for me to get angry playing against him on Arcade and beat him. And he's one of the main reasons for getting the game in the first place!!!) But if I had the time to try and perfect using him, then I would, but that'll have to wait for some time when I'm not busy working on my social life. XD In the meanwhile, I guess I'll post my friend code so that everyone can fight me if you wish. But I'm not normally on unless I get a scheduled fight time going with a friend from CR in Germany. XD I'd also recommend adding me on MSN just in case you want it to be easier to communicate with me if I'm not on here. But that's if you want to. VolnuttChan's TvC friend code-thingy: 2536-7679-1658 (Subaru R.) (Now if I can get Steel on CR to get his darn TvC game so I can fight him....)
