This was really hard to decide: each of the entries were worthy of a vote, but I did vote for someone on this poll. I find it a bit disturbing that for all the great works everyone contributed, there are only 10 votes in all- and Friday is hours away. :07:
Well, beggars can't be choosers.... I know compared to the others, mine stands little chance of getting a vote at this point, but I had a feeling that would be the case.
Still, there might be a few stragglers, between now and when the poll closes..

Been meaning to review everyone's, but I need to try and keep it quick... Glad the voting didn't end on Halloween like I was thinking the other day.
fab Comments on my own work? My description on YouTube was simple, “What better way than literally to show how long it's been that we've been waiting for Legends 3? Actually there are probably many better ways but I was short on time and ideas. I think this turned out all right. ” Beyond that, I guess I might mention that it was put together over the course of just 3 days. Though, given the concept, I don't know how much more I might have been able to do with it had I given it more time... Except that I might have remembered to include Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X. >_<
Anyway, even though it doesn't have any votes so far (nor did I expect any, honestly), I'm glad that it's been pretty well-received. Thanks for your comments, people!
Pitch Sprites! No less than I would have expected from you, and the new style versus the old does give the feel of some time having passed.
ravenf6 To be honest, I didn't understand what was happening in the new comic until just now as I skimmed this entire thread for good measure, but the art style is a dramatic improvement from the old, so like Pitch's gives a past to present feel.
Blues Lovely brick building and well done on getting many prominent members of the forums to admit they love Legos. XD No doubt you've come a long way in your design and approach. Lovely detail!
Raijin As has been said, awesome original, even more awesome new piece! Cool as Juno may be, what stands out to me is the background, lovely! Several people went with the take something old and redo it approach, but somehow the simplicity of just a single piece of fan art stands out as a little more impactful. Now if only I'd seen the original back in the day, it'd really feel like a long time has passed.
Darfox8 Conceptually, this might be the best entry. When I heard what you were planning I was really looking forward to it, and I think you pulled it off great (RE43 FTW!). Somehow it didn't seem like there were enough obstacles though. That's not your fault at all—Legends news was so scarce over the years you only had so much to work with. It just seemed like there should have been more drama during such a lengthy wait.
TronBonne Great job on going after and learning the instrument you wanted! I tend to get tired of hearing the Flutter theme, it's been done to death, but Naite Ii Yo in all of its awesome obscurity gives bonus points! The representation of the passage of time would be totally absent without your explanation, but awesome entry nonetheless.
Dashe I wouldn't want to watch it a second time for fear of it getting stuck in my head for all eternity, but the overall effort and concept were definitely commendable! Certainly demonstrated well the feeling of waiting, waiting, waiting.
Buster Cannon Did not realize this was going to be your event entry, but I can definitely see how it qualifies. The knowledge you've acquired and the effort you've put into your guides and reviews over the years is impressive and also gives a time-has-passed impression on a more subtle level.
Trege I've never played Ace Attorney, and thus I couldn't seem to get anywhere on this... But I assume the unfolding case relates to the passage of time somehow. It's definitely an interestingly unique entry.
MLT the Milkman Definitely a sweet entry with a lot of work put into it. Awesome job of polishing things up from the test preview I saw. It does a great job of bringing to life a concept you've been working with and tweaking for a long time.
Snowman Can't say a whole lot, but the lyrics look good. Hope to see you fulfill this vision sometime.
So, who gets my vote? This was definitely a tough choice. I put a lot of thought into it, considering this, that, and the other... I like the ones that really make me feel the passage of time, and to me the ones with the strongest feeling of that were my own, Darfox8's, Dashe's, and Mlt's.
Mine – Undoubtedly, literally shows the passage of time in a cosmic, chronological way. Effective, but too simple to be worthy of votes, particularly my own vote.
Darfox8 – Very nicely shows the passage of time from a Capcom/game industry perspective. A close runner up to be sure.
Dashe – Also a runner up. Passage of time was obvious in several ways, detailing the waiting we all had to endure from a personal perspective.
Mlt – Yeah, this one takes my vote. I kind of surprised myself by choosing this one, but as I looked at the game and thought about all the sketches Mlt has done of his Legends character classes over the years and the feedback and comments he received on them, it felt to me like I was seeing a representation of time passing as a community of Legends fans. That's what snagged my vote, the feeling that during our endless wait we've only really had each other for support, and the feel of this entry sums that community spirit up better than any of the others to me.
Well done everyone!

Okay, now that it's officially November 6th, the polls are closed and...wait, what? I won...? Honestly, I was kind of hoping for an eleven-way tie... Thank god the grand prize was a drawing request from me, though, since I typically don't do requests for free. I don't feel quite so guilty about inadvertently winning my own contest. >_< MLT, I'm going to just give you a gold hourglass badge too, since you came really close, and I'm going to give myself a nice weeklong LS administrative Trip to Cancun instead of a drawing. I draw for myself enough as it is. Anyway, thanks to everyone who did vote for me, even though I still don't think it was that great. :21: I'm surprised some of the other entries didn't get that many votes, you all did a brilliant job and will be getting badges within the hour!

I think it's only fair in this situation that you make a request from everyone else as your prize. Go on, I can draw things too. It may not be as prize-worthy, but it's the thought that counts.
And thanks for the hourglass. It's hypnotizing. Makes further waiting a breeze.

First of all, thank you guys for the comments. You especially Rai for the bit about the difficulty curve. I’m hoping to get a slightly updated version finished in the near future to submit to the Arcade, so that stuff is helpful. Second, congrats to Dashe. It was deserved. I couldn’t decide who to vote for, so I went the easy route and just didn’t vote. Though it was very tempting to vote for myself near the end just to create a tie and mess Dashe's weekend up... Speaking of, I’m jumping onboard with Rai. I can totally chip in and put some quick gift art of my own together. Just say the word. On the gold hourglass: Just a thought, but I don’t suppose we can extend it to the top 3 or something? I know it’s supposed to be exclusive and all, but giving it to just two people seems like a bit much. Also: :24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24: CONFOUND MY ENORMOUS SUCCESS. CONFOUND IT.

Technically, it would be a top four, since Buster and Tron tied for third. Ironically all mods, too.
*Wonders how many people were secretly sucking up to the staff*

Also: :24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24: CONFOUND MY ENORMOUS SUCCESS. CONFOUND IT. Hah! You'll need to get your own exclusive "MLT Badge", a composite of the separate ones you have, but all in one image so the text for the tag can fit.

I think it's only fair in this situation that you make a request from everyone else as your prize. this++; I was thinking the same thing. I would be happy to take some kind of request from you, Miss Dashe. Seems hardly fair that you should win this event and not get any real prize for it. Let me know. (Whether I'll be able to produce anything worth requesting is a whole other matter :22:) Can't say I'm surprised by the results. Miss Dashe's entry certainly deserved the win, although my vote went to mlt's game. I'm a little bummed that everyone's entry didn't get at least one vote. There are certainly some good entries up there with zero votes. That's a shame. Still, this was a pretty nifty event. I'm happy I joined in. This new badge is nifty. The animation is kind of distracting. :06: ∗ is happy to finally have more than one badge ∗ ^__^

Alright, if you guys really want to draw for me, anything featuring Bon or Teisel in it would be awesome. Bon doesn't get anywhere near enough art these days and Teisel's just...well, you know. Though I'm pretty sure the hype from YouTube and...er...everywhere else makes for a sufficient prize in itself. Oh, and here, MLT, it's fixed! We all know how much you love those badges. XD

So there it is! Congratulations Dashe, certainly a well-won first place! And as for the prize thing, well, I can't say I'm a good drawing-type artist, but I'l see if I can't make something that'd work as a cool reward.

Wow, bonus video. Can already tell from the animation quality in this one that the ones that follow will be even better than the last. The museum references and the custom Dashe mug made my day, especially since it looks like you used my suggestion for the katakana spelling of Dashe (though here it kinda looks like the first character is a ma instead of a da so it looks like Mashe...and the second character looks a bit more like a tsu as well so...Matsueh...close enough, right?)
By the way, I am working on a Teisel/Bon pic that might be ready tomorrow or Friday. You do deserve that request.

Haha, thanks, Raijin. Yeah, I did use your suggestion for the spelling...or, I tried to, at least...guess it looks like my Japanese handwriting's as bad as my English handwriting. *Shoves Matsueh into the Bin of Potential Fictional Brand Names for later use*

A handy reference for that sort of thing. That's the page I used to check constantly until I eventually committed them to memory. The shi character just needs to be "flatter"to be distinguished from the tsu.

Hey, awesome! Gotta second the Tron mug, and it seem you've had a place in mind for that museum curator gag that's been thrown around lately. I'll be looking forward to any upcoming videos!
