The zoo's a nice place for a visit, but I don't think you want to live there. Yeah, I dunno if I'd say I'm one to complain, but recently, it seems as though there's been an excessive amount of focus in the Mumbo Jumbo/Forum Games sections. >.< More so Mumbo Jumbo, because Games actually have a point, but yeah... comin' in, checking the 15 Most Recent Posts, and returning a whole lot of nothing. I know the Search feature can be used to return all of a day's posts, but that hasn't seemed to return much as of late, either. I know it's perfectly within the rules to put nonsense topics in Mumbo Jumbo, but I dunno if you should just because you can... >_< I don't mean to sound as though I'm criticizing, nor do I claim not to have had any random phun in the sections, but well yeah... It's getting a bit redundant.. Just a suggestion.

That is true on some points. A lot of people refer to the Mumbo Jumbo forums when they're bored, but you also have to consider the fact that many people still post in the other threads as well. You've got a point though, for example, the MOTB threads haven't been touched in a while...

People are still posting in the other sections, but the amount in the Mumbo Jumbo section lately seems excessive - like more there than other sections.. that was kinda my point. =/

To be honest, one only has so much to say about one series on a given day. I think it's fine. You can still see the most recent post in each forum by looking on the right, so there's no danger of the important stuff being lost in mumbo jumbo. And, if talking about a bunch of nothing keeps people here for the important stuff, I'm all for it.

I think what Pitch is talking about is the huge plethora of crap nonsense threads Mr. Myoku and Ms. Griffin have been concocting as of late (Dash in particular. I think he's the one who started it, to be honest). While I admit they do make a perfect king and queen of randomness, I do think the Mumbo Jumbo section's recent, unexplained, expansion should be toned down a little. And while we're on the subject, just to alleviate any rumors, I don't really eat babies. IS also has a good point--that we should have SOMETHING to talk about when DASH-related activity begins to decline...but I think the "other things" should have more of a point to them than, "LYKE OMG I HAS A RASH ;D lolololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111" Come on. We can do better than that.

I agree, I think that nonsense threads should belong in nonsense forums. I.E: Gamespot. But like IrritatingSonata said, they should be allowed that much at least. So long as it keeps them on the forums, sure.

There're other sections besides Mumbo Jumbo where non-DASH related topics could be made.. Anyone could tell ya it's been a slow year for a DASH fan. I'm just saying the Mumbo Jumbo's been way excessive lately; sure it keeps some interested, but again there're other things that could keep people interested.. I'd pioneer this other discussion but no one ever replies in my topics. I'm not quite sure why that is.. hmm... But yeah, I dunno... I mean, well, how interesting can nothing be?

As a matter of fact I've noticed this myself to some extent. I'm still not quite back in the habit of regularly looking around, but in order to help Dashe and the others keep an eye out for trouble I keep a pretty close eye on the 15 most recent posts... I must say I have seen a lot of nonsensical stuff, but of course I simply dismiss it when I see it's in the Mumbo Jumbo section.
I haven't taken a look at just how many of these crazy threads there are, or who's starting them all (is it all Myoku and Griffin?), but if it's gotten to the point where it's really starting to bug people, perhaps we should ask those responsible to tone it down a bit. Or maybe they'll tire of it soon enough.

Most of it's Myoku, Griffin's got a few, I admit to starting one (and only one), and I'm sure there are other lesser offenders as well. Hear that guys? Tone it down. I mean it. No more stupid, pointless, random threads. Next pointless thread that gets made gets counted as a rule infraction...geez, the king and kween probably aren't even gonna READ this. They're probably down in "General Talk" making more of them...fab, help me here...

Fine.
I'm posting in topics more than making them (because I like having the nonsense centralized in one thread moreso than spread through a zillion topics I am finding), but huh. I use the main page to check for updates to the other forums because things have been slow regarding everything else and chances are I have said something on most of the "serious" MML-related topics posted, although they might be split between MMLS and MMLU.
The Mumbo Jumbo is centralized in the appropiate forum. We are not getting anything for posting there. I find it a nice fun spot to kick back and get to know people and play around, which I think should be the main point of the forum (getting to know people more than play, anyway).
So is the 15 most recent posts the problem?
EDIT: Now that I think about it, there needs to be a line drawn between a "good" pointless post and a "bad" one, sadly.
Good: Thread featuring the random search for ninjas in bushes. All posts must contain the word 'cheese' or else.
Bad: Askdfjafajkfa
