Okay, time for a styles progress report!
V4 Classic - 85% Complete Wow, that took a lot of work, but I learned a lot today. Wouldn't you know we have a hopping forum attendance today of all days as I'm messing around with all the settings? XP
Still Needs Work: -- Link color needs to be better distinguished. Light blue text and white links don't work together, but I'm not sure what would look good... -- Reply, Quote, Modify, and similar buttons are still using V3 graphics for the moment. Need to replace them soon.
V3 Sterile - 98% Complete Essentially, it's all up and working fine, pretty much how it always was.
Still Needs Work: -- I learned some new tricks today that will really make V3 look even better than it used to. Will implement them soon.
V2 Mechanical - 50% Complete Just temporarily in place for now. Use at your own risk!
Still Needs Work: -- Color tweaking, big time! -- Image tweaking, bit time!
The Main Gate - 50% Complete Just temporarily in place for now. Use at your own risk!
Still Needs Work: -- Color tweaking, big time! -- Image tweaking, bit time!
I hope everyone likes the new V4 style, I think it looks great personally. ^_^ If anything looks weird with it, try refreshing your browser, and if it still looks weird let me know. Likewise on V3 for who prefer to still use that style.

The link colors could be red. It'll kind of go with the Reaverbots eye that shows at the top of the forum pages ^^;

Or maybe lime green. That would show up better against the blue than red would, unless the font was in bold.

It looks very good so far! But the blueness gets old very fast.

Oops, I'm really late on this one! I think V4 looks pretty good. ^_^ I think that the darker colours really do match the series more. I have a question though(oh boy), you know the Legends Station logo thing at the top? Is that grey boarder going to stay around it, or are you going to remove it and have the logo on it's own?
Post Count: I don't really mind if the post count is scrapped, your reasons sound good enough to me. Having competitions would be fun, since if we really wanted a custom title we would have to be active and work for it. And no one would spam if we're trying to win.
Rules: It would be a good idea to shorten them, it took me forever to read those things. I made sure I read them all because of the rumors of this place being too strict, and I didn't want to get banned after being a member for like 2 days. XP
Mini Mods: I love the names everyone came up with. XD Mini mods shouldn't be a problem. What could go wrong with having them?

You know the Legends Station logo thing at the top? Is that grey boarder going to stay around it, or are you going to remove it and have the logo on it's own? Yup, yup, this is a classic symptom of 'horriblus-browserus', known as most people as MSIE Usage. The only sure cure? Clicking on this image: Yeah...I think that was covered a few months ago that fab fell in love with PNGs and that v4 would be more FF/NS friendly. v3, I believe, is still MSIE compatible... I don't know what people still bother with that wretched thing...MSIE...it's less of a browser and more of a security threat...anyone who says MSIE is better has an unjust bias towards it, though I don't know how one would get such a bias to a piece of junk...*continues grumbling*

I like the layout too, fab. I was skeptical when you were using those banners that made it hard to read the white text for a while, but it seems all has been corrected, and now things are pretty easy to read...
The blueness reminds me of the Interordi. My only problem remains the inability to read bolded white text to figure out what was posted today.

I think the blue colors may be a bit strong, or maybe its just me.

I think the blue fits the forums well. And what's this talk of resetting post counts? How dare you even think of that you evil, evil person Personally, post counts don't matter all that much to me. All they really are is numbers.

Says the guy with less than a hundred... I hate blue. I'm.. not particularly fond of this new style; I think I'll just stick to this version 3 style. (yes I do know it's blue too, but there's a good balance to it)

As most of you probably noticed, I took care of the rest of the images for V4, and changed the links to red the other day. Still debating on the latter. Bright green does stand out pretty well, but the red goes with the reaver eye as Dash said... Anyway, seems to be doing well enough for now, and I tweaked the V2 style a bit and added the old images from back then for that.
Some people seem to think V4 is too blue... It is rather, but it needs to match the site, no? It never hurts to make suggestions if you have any, otherwise no one should have any objection to sticking with V3, as Pitch has chosen to do.
Need to get The Main Gate style up to snuff and then I can start focusing on the other matters.

Red? Those links look more maroon to me. I think they're a bit dark and kind of blend in with the page. If you want red, then how about
[shadow=navy,left,300]THIS?!?![/shadow]
Just kidding! But doesn't that color show up a lot better? Maybe have the color for the links you've already visited turn a darker shade than the un-clicked links...
I still don't know...something about the color scheme does seem a little bland. Maybe lighten the text windows a little so they don't fade into the background? Or darken the background even further, to more of a navy blue...what this scheme needs is a little more contrast.

Aguh. (A-gu-ah?) Very sorry. I’m a little late in posting my opinion. I understand that everything is already up? Well, a bit more input can’t hurt. The color scheme... I don’t mind so much the blue as I do the colors on top of the blue. Yes, I agree that the red is terribly hard to read. I understand that we’re trying to make it look Megaman-like, but we must consider practicality. Simply must be brighter. I need to put my face right up to the screen to read the links. That’s all I’ve noticed for now, except perhaps that white border around the logo at the top. Yes, I use IE. Yes, I’m perfectly satisfied with it. I’m a horribly biased, IE-loving, Neanderthal hillbilly alligator-wrastlin’ pain in the neck, and always will be. On that note, is it possible to make the layout compatible with both IE and the other browsers? Despite IE’s apparent inferiority, a large portion of surfers, myself included, still use it, for whatever reason. It’s not that I think a universal layout would be more effective, but as long as it’s still being worked on, may as well make it the best it can be. And if that means catering to us primitive IE users, so it shall be suggested. *nods* But like I said, I don’t think it’ll help anything in particular. I’m just a perfectionist. If you think it would be too much work or if you’d rather move on to the other sections of the site (Or, for that matter, if universal browser compatibility is not even possible... web construction not my cup of tea), then I won’t complain if you don’t bother with it. Ah, and I forgot to mention earlier. As to the mini-mod thing, I’d be more then happy to help out if you are still looking for people to fill the position. Underling work is my department. Of course, seeing as how there have probably already been several hundred members messaging in looking for a job, I’m perfectly fine letting them do the work. I’m not sure whether or not I’m supposed to sent this to you personally, so just consider this my application. o.o Finally... post count hasn’t been zapped yet. Is there still work being done, or has there been a change of plans?

There should be a link on the banner at the bottom of the page where it tells you how many messages you have. But yes, I just noticed that as well. Could a link be placed somewhere near the top? Maybe right under the banner? The layout is nice, but old habits die hard. Edit: Actually, there is no room under the logo, is there? Sorry. Perhaps to the side or something? You get the idea.
