Clover? They're defunct now! Ha-HA! My evil plans are in place!
I want more machines with goofy German names!

I want to make my brain work like yours, Miss Dashe. That sounds like way too much fun. My brain is practically exactly the opposite way. (yes, my real-life conversations are perceived as interacting blocks of text)
I'll feel bad if I don't say something about Legends 3 in this post. Compared to yesterday, today has been pretty calm around the boards eh. It was kind of nice to actually get some sleep last night, though. What a day.
I hax'd that picture of Volnutt and Roll onto the forum layout on my computer so I can look at it whenever I come here. <3

That's a good point. I should put that picture on my iPod background. I'm curious to see how they're going to change the gameplay.
Oh, and if they'd only bring back the Samuai Pizza Cats, too, this'd be the best year ever!

(yes, my real-life conversations are perceived as interacting blocks of text)It's great, but it seriously kills book-to-movie adaptations. Every. Single. Time. I still can't believe Legends 3 is a reality. And I made the subforum. >_<

I still can't believe Legends 3 is a reality. And I made the subforum. >_< Yeah, I feel very very similar. I think it may be because all we've seen so far is a logo and one new piece of artwork. It's pretty much sunk in that Legends 3 is coming, but as yet I have no idea what to actually expect. And Capcom intends to keep us in suspense for a little more than one more week at least. The suspense is killing me, really.

Hah. Well we haven't really had anything to expect until now. Suspense is always stronger when you're actually expecting something. It's been an exciting two days, though. It feels like it's already been like a week since the game was announced and it was only just yesterday. Although, I guess Volnutt in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and Tron in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is enough to get my imagination working on what Legends 3 might look like... (granted, those aren't 3DS titles, but nonetheless...)

I really hope the 3DS isn't delayed any further... I had originally intended to grab it around its Q4 release since I've been planning another trip to Japan this coming winter. But seeing as how it's been pushed to late February, guess I'll just have to import it.
On that note, who else thinks they're gonna snag one post-haste? It might be a better option to wait since they may improve on it some in the later releases, but I really don't think my willpower would agree with that. And if I somehow develop a brain tumor from staring at an inferior 3D screen for too long, at least I'll die playing some effin' Star Fox.
Also, I'm assuming Dash 3 won't be apart of the initial launch... but maybe if I cross my fingers reeeally hard... :24:

I think the best move would be to get a 3DS when you pick up Legends 3, and not pick up any other game for it for a month at least. It might make them think more people are buying 3DS's specifically for Legends 3. See if we can't sway the sales figures a bit by planning our purchases accordingly!
In fact, even if you can't afford a 3DS or there winds up being a shortage, everyone interested in the series should pick Legends 3 up day one anyway. Stellar debut sales figures would be brilliant...it doesn't mean quite as much when you've got a bunch scattered over time as it does if they fly off the shelves first day out.

And if I somehow develop a brain tumor from staring at an inferior 3D screen for too long, at least I'll die playing some effin' Star Fox. I'm getting Legends 3 the day it comes out — I'll probably preorder if they have the option. So unless Legends 3 is put off for a year or more after 3DS launch, I'll probably be picking one of those up at launch too. I'd love to wait for Nintendo to improve it — ... not! — but I'm not waiting for that to play Legends 3! Although I may pick up a 3DS at the same time like Miss Dashe suggested. I'd like to just have it on-hand when the game is released, but that might be cool too. But even if worse comes to worst and I don't have enough money to afford a 3DS and Legends 3 by the time that's released I will definitely still pick up Legends 3 on day one. (!!) I have a good chunk of money I plan to set aside for that anyway, so I should be good. 3DS is still a bit pricey for my tastes though.(On the one hand it annoys me that Nintendo seems to update their portables on a yearly basis, but on the other hand it's kind of nice that they keep up with the times, constantly creating a better product for their users. I can't decide if they're pure evil or just really really thoughtful and creative developers. Probably a bit of both.)

I was originally going to wait until the redesign to buy a 3DS (we all know there will be one). Then I told my brother the only thing that would make me buy the 3DS before the redesign would be Mega Man Legends 3. :18: So I'll be buying MML3 on day one (and preorder ahead of time, just in case). For when I buy the 3DS, I'm not sure. If they sell like hotcakes, I'm picking one up ASAP to ensure I have the system to play my beloved game.

Does anyone know the button layout of the 3DS?
Does it have an L/R function, similar to the PSP?
Because I was wondering whether or not the new Legends game would control like it's PSP port...which I heard was pretty good.

The 3DS(since it now has the analog nub) has the same exact buttons that the PSP had. With the extra of a touch screen and an accelerometer so it knows when you tilt it.
I suspect for it to have a similar control scheme. As long as there are plenty of customizable options it'd be happy.

I'm most used to the original controls, as awkward as most people I've met find them to be, I feel quite at home with the turning functions being L and R. Although I'm still hoping a little bit that they might also consider the possibility of porting it to other systems, preferably the PS3, I'm fine with the 3DS, despite it's 250-300$ price range (could easily buy a new PS3 with that...) I guess I'm putting a lot of faith into the quality of this game, buying a brand new console just for the sole purpose of playing Legends 3...

This is pretty cool. According to Protodude's Rockman Corner, MegaMan Legends 3 may very well end up using a portable version of the Dead Rising/Lost Planet engine. (Not confirmed, but it does appear that they are making a portable version of the engine, so it may be likely) I don't know if that necessarily should make people who insist Legends belongs on a home console feel better, but it should be pretty cool, besides. I've only played them a little bit myself, but Dead Rising and Lost Planet look awesome and Legends would totally fit. (of course, we've known that for a while)Geez, if Capcom keeps making good on their teases over the years, I'm gonna end up looking pretty foolish for doubting them! They're doing so good now, I'm half expecting them to build a time machine and send Legends 3 back in time six years to the first time Inafune said it was going to happen.. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Hah.
