UserShadow, I'm guessing alot of the original MM fans don't like MML as much since it "steered far away from the purpose of the original", but it'd be good to get as many as possible.
Sure, this might not work, but at least we tried to do something. Remember the Alamo!

I found this: www.mmlo.megaman-network.com/While It doesn't have it's own message board it does have dozens of affilates so we can probally get at least a 100 from all the total sites. That with the affilates for mmls and the guys at gamefaqs.com we can get a good amount, and I'll keep looking. (*Looks at bottom of page.* whoops.)
Found one. www.rockmanvortex.com/rrc/It has too many links to count.Sorry I haven't gotten more info but I've been doing alot of work.

I would definitely sign any petition to have MML3 made. Ive been looking forward and hoping that this game would come out a long time ago.
While i agree, e-mails wont be taken as seriously as letters, I think the only way to get everyone to sign a petion for it would be to make a thread here, and on other forums. Add the names all up together, and send it to them. If they wont respond, get more names, send it back etc. until they finally realize that this is very much wanted.

This topic is the same as mine...? do you guys think we should merge both topics?

Nah. We'd have done that when your topic started if it was really necessary.
And again, an online petition is as useful as a screen door on a submarine. An actual signed petition is another thing, but circulating THAT among forum goers would not only be a huge threat to people's personal safety... but it would take one heck of a long time. Stick to emails. Capcom of Japan has been nice enough to respond to letters with actual responses. They claim to be sending DASH fanmail to the Research and Development place(or the Roll and Data place, I can't be sure ;D(EDIT: Nevermind, they did say Research and Development, not just R and D)). The more mails we send, the more time they have to spend with responses, the more time they spend with responses the more evident it becomes that they should be spending time on a sequel. Sha-bam.

That really depends on Capcom Japan and Kenji Inafune to make another DASH game.

I don't see how Keiji Inafune is so important. Sure, he's the creator of the Megaman franchise, and one of the producers of the Legends series, but hey. Look at the X series. After X4, Keiji's influence on the projects after were almost non-existant, but atleast he got a 'Special Thanks'. But yes, the games after X4 did indeed suck, but it justifies the fact that Capcom can make a Legends 3 -without- Kenji, but whether it's good or not is a question to be brought up.
Speaking of which, would you guys rather a sequel that is really crap, or no sequel at all?

No sequel at all.
I honestly think the reason there's such a dedicated fanbase is because there's no sequel, and as a result, it hasn't been ruined yet. I think about the plot and where it is at the end of Legends 2, and I'm reminded of the first X game's ending or even the first EXE game's ending. All sorts of exciting, interesting stuff happening, and whatnot, leaves ya wanting more, and then as the games go on it turns into a redundant piece of crap with no plot and character's you just want to strangle for being so ridiculously static. Sad truth is, that's probably in Legends' future too, should a sequel be made and sell.
As far as Keiji goes, yeah he is important. Capcom doesn't really seem to want to pick up the series, as they'd rather focus on the aforementioned redundant pieces of crap. Keiji expressed interest in the DASH series. Hopefully if he has a hand in the next DASH game, it'll be true to the plot without messing too many things up(iirc, didn't he have something to do with DASH plot in NamcoXCapcom(which was awesome)). If he's interested in it and wants to work on it, it'll be better than Capcom alone who'll half-ass it because they really could care less.

True dat. (Yikes. I just said 'true dat.' I must be nuts.) Even if we are desperate to the point of near insanity for a sequel, I don't particularly like the concept of "Mega Man Legends 15, Gray Version" either. Not only will the quality of the game suffer, but I think that the quality of the forums will suffer. If the game reached the "epic" proportions of BN and X, you'd get more and more total morons playing and enjoying these games, and extremely hectic, difficult-to-manage MMLS boards.
So if you decided you'd rather have crap games instead of no games at all... PROS: -More Legends games -Toys, Merchandise, TV shows, etc. -More active forums and websites -Larger fanbase
CONS: -The games are overrated, redundant crap -There could end up being too many to collect 'em all -More idiots who like Legends -Larger fanbase
In case I missed anything, feel free to correct me.

I'd almost go so far as to say the mechandice accompanied with overproduction is reason enough to be supportive regardless of redundancy, but let's face it, the only reason I'd say that is because I get to use a lot of big words. ;D
You pretty much nailed every possible con... one other thing I can think of, maybe under redundant crap, but something I meant to mention as well, when the games get rushed out so darn fast that there are ERRORS IN TRANSLATION. Yes, you know what I mean. FOR EXAMPLE:
"What a polite young man she was!" Lan's mom, MMBN4
BEST. LINE. EVER! Horrible, horrible game though. Legs go, Lan! XDDDDD
Of course that's on CoA's end, but I'm just sayin'. I can't imagine how they must've felt when they saw that. What a joke. Hey suppose we were you get the merchandise and whatever if it became popular. What happens when the names get the NT Warrior treatment? >.< It's just awful.
Ya know after thinking about this, part of me doesn't want a sequel...

Keiji is a living paradox I tell out. In one interview, I remember him calling the first DASH game his 'masterpiece'. And in another 'interview', he's apparently said that another DASH game will never be made. 15 years of blue men shooting yellow stuff must've screwed up his noggin'. (Don't take that out of context, please )

Many people believe that in the interview where he said it will never be made, he meant thtat he didn't want the people behind the Zero series to do it. He was in a meeting with them afterall.

So I guess that means we are just going to have to wait until Inafune makes another speech, huh? That could take a while, especially since most interviewers seem to somehow overlook Legends...

Yeah, it's pretty funny actually. When Gamespot interview him about the PSP Ports/Remakes (RM RM, IHX, DASH 1, 2) the interviewer never mentioned the DASH ports, and just the remakes. But we'll see what paradox Keiji throws up sometime in the future.
