Greetings everyone! Wow, I can't even remember the last time I made a forum announcement.
As the older members may recall, we completely removed the post count from the forums back on 2006/04/01 and later brought it back on 2007/08/20. Ever since then the posts have been adding up normally, but without taking into account posts made prior.
This has always bothered me and probably a good many others. If we're going to have post count on at all, then it should be accurate, right? Unfortunately there's no easy way to calculate posts made during the time that counts were disabled*, but I did keep an old record of all original post counts before the disabling. With the green light from the staff I have now added those numbers to the current post counts**. It's still inaccurate, but now we're only missing 16 months instead of 3 1/2 years.
So, uh, it took a big chunk of the day to do, but I guess that's really about all there is to say.
* I (or perhaps some other eager member of the staff) may at some point decide to attempt this, but that's another job for another day. ** My records made on the day we disabled the count does not include an amount for Green. I think he must have deleted his original account before then, and normally would say tough luck to anyone else in that position, but seeing as we all know he's the undisputed lord of posting here at Legends Station Forums I went ahead and gave him 1337 posts, a number which I know he had reached if not passed back in the day.

Q_____Q Noooooo! I was so close to being the first person to reach a thousand posts AGAIN. It was gonna be awesome. Counting it at 2,337 won't be the same. (just kidding... kind of)Anywho, lol, 1,337 is not far off. As Pitch (old account) I believe I'd amassed about 1,410. And yes, it was just before you actually disabled post count that I deleted my account. While I would've agreed with you on the "tough luck" bit (I certainly deserve that), I'll take teh 1337ness as a compliment and I thank you.

Congrats Green. There was a time where I thought that I would hit the 1000 mark before you but after time that idea died down as I stopped posting in almost every thread. I'll still make it there (eventually)

It's great to hear that everyone's getting their post counts restored . If I may, I do have a little query. When I checked my profile earlier, it said that I have 127 posts. At the "View ___most recent posts" I typed in 180 (what I estimated was my round number of posts that I've made) and clicked "submit". The search said that I made 169 posts. May this matter be sorted out please? Your quick response shall be much obliged. Steffie Edit: If one were to include this post, it shall be 170.

It's fab-tabulous! Even though my post count still sucks, I'm glad you decided to do this fab.

Yo Green, we can also take the 1337 away if you'd like but with Dashe's count I guess that would take away the glory of reaching 1000 anyway. Sorry to spoil your hopes. XP
Steffie, your account was registered May 6, 2007, which means that any post count you would have attained between then and August 20th that same year is still floating around in the void so to speak. Another job for another day, as I mentioned.
Always keep in mind though that nobody's count is likely to match with the actual number of their own post search results, because there are areas of the forums where posts made do not contribute to post count.

Yay, glad to see you finally got around to finishing it!
Sheesh, I've been here for 5 years and I still haven't hit the 1000 mark yet. I almost though I was seeing things when I counted 6 reaverbot eyes under Green's name! This is a pretty welcome change, I must say, as it really benefits the older members who don't post a lot.

@fab It doesn't really matter. TBPH I wouldn't mind it either way. If there's anyone I wouldn't mind being second to, it's Miss Dashe. But on a related note, congratulations to Miss Dashe for "officially" exceeding a post count of 1,000. It was such a shame; you were so close before. (I wanna say it was 987?) It's nice to have someone else in the Wojigairon Club, even if your designation as staff overrides the forum title.

Ah, thank you very much to clarify that, fAB. It is much appreciated. Before I could forget, I would really like to congratulate Green and Dashe for their achievement for reaching over 1000 posts.

I was wondering why I only had a postcount of 2 or 3 when I came back after a long time. I recalled posting a few more times than that. Heh, guess it doesn't make much of a difference for me either way though.

*Looks left* Uh! Weird. So, uh, it took a big chunk of the day to do, but I guess that's really about all there is to say. Then cheers for doing this, fAB. It brings old memories flooding back for some reason.

Thank you, thank you...though it'd have really been nice to know when I actually reached 1,000 posts, I'm pretty sure it would have been somewhere shortly after when fab initially got rid of the original post count. Which, as stated earlier, sucks. But eh, whatever. It's a nice surprise coming back from Finals to see I'd have had six Reaverbot eyes if I weren't slackishly running the place.

Woah, cool to see the old posts restored back, especially Green's 1000+up PC. This doesn't affect my post count much 'cause I joined 10 days after post count was removed, but eh. It's a great service to the older members who've been here for almost 6 years. Also congrats Dashe- looks like you made it over 1000 too! ;D
