Technically fabs server is (Extremely likely) detecting that the site is hotlinking. This is because HotLink detecters use the referer tag, and a whole crapload of software, routers, and modems seem to block this tag in attempt of a hacker attempting to enter.
fab shouldn't have to change the settings himself.
eric, find the manual to your modem and stay in touch. I have yet another idea.
And i don't want to burst your bubble fab, but usaully the format has absolutely nothing to do with the "Red X" problem.

I thought I had pretty much stated that it had to do with the hotlink protection on my images. Which is why I pointed that out about PNGs, as they are not protected from hotlinking.
If you think you can help Eric change his modem settings or whatever though, good luck.
