Question - Do Signatures & HTML Code Mix?

Here's a question:

I've tried to add HTML coding to my signature, and it's not working. The codes come back as if it was plain text.

How would I add the code to the signature?

(If you're wondering, I'm not trying to add malicious code to my signature)

Normal html doesn't work.

you can use the same codes as you can use in your posts, though.

like:
for bold (don't forget the end tag or it won't work!

oh, and move with [ ]'s around it, of course has the effect of the HTML tag <marquee>
