Ha ha, guess I was wrong after all, which I was expecting too actually. I guess the only good thing Sonic nowadays is his cameo in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the only good thing to come out of Sonic Team is Phantasy Star Universe in my opinion.

To ignore the whole point of this topic and say something serious like everyone else (sorry 'bout saying that ), the Sonic games never EVER went downhill, except during the time of the Sega Saturn. New Sonic games are still good. I know the console games suck nowadays, but the portable games still rock. The Sonic Advance series, Sonic Battle and Sonic Pinball Party went unnoticed, but they're really good. The Advance series capture the sensation of the first 3 games, while introducing new elements and new characters (Cream, Cheese and Vanilla) that don't create huge plot changes like Shadow or Silver. They provide good challenge (especially Sonic Advance 2) and keep a simplistic story. Battle is a great fighting game, with many characters, simple techniques and one HEAVILY customizable character, and still feels somewhat like a platformer. It's few players are hardcore fans. Oh, and Gamma from Sonic Adventure 1 returns. Gamma>Omega. Pinball Party has great gameplay and many features per board. There is a cool Sonic board (which can change to a Tails, Knuckles or Amy board depending on your actions) with many slots, modes and changeable backgrounds with stages from Advance 1. You can collect rings, defeat Eggman and transform into Super Sonic. And when you defeat Eggman, there's an awesome remix of Super Sonic Racing! As well as that, there's a small Samba de Amigo board with songs from Samba de Amigo, NiGHTS, Chu Chu Rocket, Burning Rangers and Phantasy Star online. I would spend hours pressing A and B to the beat of "Angels with Burning Hearts" or "Dreams Dreams"... Speaking of which, there is one more board: a majestic NiGHTS Into Dreams... board! Similarly to the Sonic board, you go through areas from the original NiGHTS, collect Ideya and blue chips, and battle Nightmaren Bosses in a corrupted version of the board. Oh, but not before dualizing with NiGHTS first! As an added touch, when a boss is defeated, there's a 16-bit version of Dreams Dreams ;D. You can't really understand how awesome this game is unless you're a Sega fan. I always loved NiGHTS, but never played the real thing, as I didn't have a Sega Saturn. Me and my family looked high and low, but we couldn't find a Saturn or a disk of NiGHTS. We could buy Journey of Dreams, but I much preferred Claris and Elliot to the dorks in the new one. . I once cried because we didn't have the game. Have you ever had a dream where you knew it was a dream? Almost every time I had one, I would fly high in the sky, searching for Nightopia. I have yet to find it, but I once saw Banjo and Kazooie, Riley from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and even Peter Pan. That means I'm getting close, right? Through that whole time, Sonic Pinball Party was the closest thing to Nights that I had. My sad, sad history aside, these are some of the best games ever for the GBA. If you see one, you should should seriously consider buying it. I never played any of the Rush games, but I've heard they're good. See, the Sonic series lives on. No matter how bad the console games are, the portable games will always rule almost as much, if not as much, as the Genesis games. I've changed my mind: new Sonic games are awesome! I hope this doesn't get ignored. Heck, with how big it is, it's hard not to be ignored! Well, as I'm writing, it's extremely late at night, and I wanna travel to Nightopia again. So, my extra-large triple decker post with no tomatoes ends here.*Insert epic anime music* Next time, on "Why new Sonic games aren't so good", I shall explain why Tails now sounds like a girl! To Be Continued...EDIT: Since no one's posted, and I'm REALLY eager to share my opinion, here's my theory of why Tails sounds like a girl. Sega is trying FAR too hard to bring the Sonic series back to its roots. So, they went past its roots, and went back to prototype ideas. In early planning stages of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Tails was a 3-Tailed girl fox. So, to go back to those ideas, Tails got a girly voice. Pretty soon, he'll grow an extra tail, and have a gender change. Hey, I could make some good fanart of that idea!
