I must say that all of you're art is great, although I personally like the Megaman drawing the most(got the hair perfect!). ;D You're really good with the details. The Heartless helmet from Kingdom Hearts has a sort of sad look to it though, ya know what I mean..? By the way, the demons are cool too.

Wow.. I didn't think that helmet would get such a reaction... Now, since it was asked for, I'm putting up the finished version of the Trigger sketch I added a few nights ago. Not too bad, given it's a first try, in my opinion.. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/MegamanTriggerroughfinish.jpgToday was rough, but after doing some digging of my own, I found a few old favorites of mine. I'll be adding those to the thread in due time. First off, another Heartless subject: One of the more unusual of those dark creatures, I drew the Trickmaster a while after I moved across the country. I love how it came out, especially the flames. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Trickmaster.jpg

When I saw the drawing of Emperor Sardius and the helmet, I imagined it as concept art for a video game (which is a good thing).
The Trickmaster pic looks great, too. You've inspired me to go back and play KH2 (I beat the first one but I stopped at The World That Never Was in KH2).
Nice work on Trigger's face, by the way. The position of his face looks a little off, though.

When I saw the drawing of Emperor Sardius and the helmet, I imagined it as concept art for a video game (which is a good thing). I instantly recognized the helmet, too (I'm a KH fan). You, sir, hit the nail right on the head. Practicing with concept art is one way for me to test my abilities- Sardius was such an example. When Capcom released thier Classic Collections, I loved the fact that you can unlock numerous art galleries of the games, and their art is usually awesome, so I went with it. Reference working is a method of practice for me- some of these arts are the results of my work. Which leads to tonight's additions: First off, When MMX5 came out, I found myself liking the series again- particulary the mecha art style- At the time, I had almost no idea what I was doing when I drew this, so here we see X in the first Falcon Armor. Looking back on it, I'm amazed as to how it came out. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/FalconArmorX.jpgNext up, is another artwork for Scythe. This one's a much older one than Last week's piece. I originally created Scythe for a Final Fantasy VII fanfic a good friend and I brewed up in highschool. For his fighting style, I tossed around a few ideas, but settled on a few things: A brawling style that uses a mix of martial arts and boxing- and having heard developments of Punchout!! for the wii, I thought it might be it would be fitting to show this one ...though I'm not good at this sort of thing... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/rookieScythe.jpg... poor kid doesn't know what he's getting himself into, mwa ha ha ha...

Okay, first of all, the MMX picture is INCREDIBLE!!! Glad to see you put the finished Trigger up too(came out great!). The Trickmaster picture looks nice, especially the flames... The Sythe drawing is pretty cool too, I like the sort of mixed martial arts thing. ;D

The Sythe drawing is pretty cool too, I like the sort of mixed martial arts thing. ;D Odd thing is though, I've gotten slightly used to seeing Scythe as a boxer, but I might experiment with a few martial arts poses in future drawings. Who knows? It might be fun to try one with him and Trigger going a few rounds? I have a bit of news for you folks, we're repainting some of the rooms in our house, so I'm starting to pack up my things in preparations for that, if I can, I'll try to keep my scanner for last. For tonight's submissions, I turn to the past- I did up this scene years ago with the intent of creating a sinister area. Main influence here were the ruins from Secret of Mana- those places and its music (Ceremony) gives me the creeps.. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Notwelcome.jpgThen I've got one more Heartless pic for you all. The first one I've done, using the Soldier. I started with this helmeted fellow at first, then added scenery and color, until you have what you see here. This one's bit under five years old, but I still enjoy looking at it once in a while. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Soldier.jpg

All I can say is, Heartless are awesome. Especially in that drawing. The sinister area you drew looks like it could be an entrence to the first palace you showed us. It just fits so well ith the first picture.

You know, Mr. Ninja, I drew that setting years ago, and that sounds like a really good idea. I haven't drawn palaces of that scale since I rediscovered Super Ghouls n' Ghosts before the turn of the century. I never expected my MM and Heartless works to draw so much attention, so tonight- consider this late night addition a little fanservice for you guys: This first one is of my own design for a Kingdom Hearts fic I'm working on- the Black Wraith i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/blackwraithheartless.jpg ( I drew this years ago, btw). This creep is capable of thought and planning in addition to stealthy movements and flight. These creatures often guard important places and coordinates the lower echelons of its dark brethren. Next up, is one I did on a whim. One particularly boring Super Bowl Sunday a long time ago prompted me to attempt something difficult: I decided to draw...... ZERO!! *inserts Monty Python dramatic Chord* i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Zero.jpg Looking back on this one, there's still that erasure spot where I messed up the saber, and I got lazy when it came to his hair. Originally, I intended to have Zero's face partially obscured by his shoulder, but as you can see, it turned out compleltey different. Nonetheless, I'm overall pleased with this work- not what I originally intended, but the results surprised me. On that note one last thing... who's gonna tell Rage about this? this would be great on a wanted poster for him. I can see it now: " WANTED- most dangerous maverick on the planet *inserts pic of Zero... than another one w/ him in a cloak with ponytail sticking out * Sometimes in disguise." ;D ;D

I must say, the Black Wraith looks a bit like one of those organization 13 guys, probably because of the hood(I really like it by the way ;D). I was wondering if you based the design off of the organization 13 for the head. Anyway, the wings for the Black Wraith look awesome too. Like how the wings fold in a bit, makes it look like it's moving. Zero looks pretty good too. You drew the armor well, but it looks sort of like someone cut a huge chunk of hair out that wasn't supposed to be cut out. I also noticed his face looked a bit like its been squished together. Anyway, I must say you drew the eyes very well. Nice and menacing. That cracked me up!

@mr. Ninja: Not really- I was really going more towards something sneaky like a thief- I had no idea that an Organization XIII existed at the point I drew BW. As for Zero, it was a tough decision to make regarding his hair, at that point, I did what you'd call 'culling the hair': had I changed it, I'd ruin all the work I put towards Zero's armor and proportions- adapting the human body to reploid form(while making it convincing) is trickier than it looks(though I did not know that at the time). .. and as for that last joke... I was watching Samurai Jack and just had to do it. On that note, let's move onto tonight's addtions. I have one more piece of spookiness for you all, this time, we see something that would fit into the palace and entryway I did- this piece I did in between the two of them(I had to alter it a bit since the scanner picked it up- it looked too faint)- I might use it for a story I'm cooking up... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/thefallen.jpgNext up, while we're discussing SJ, for a little fun, I decided to take as stab at the shape-shifting master of darkness, Aku. .... passing time when he's not trying to bump off Jack, and losing, the guy he's losing to, I'll introduce him formally in a later submission so... enjoy. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Akuthesoreloser.jpg

I admire the detail you put in, especially the backgrounds. The Soldier heartless and the pic of Mega Man X are incredible, by the way. Keep working on Scythe, I'd like to see more! ;D

Okay, the first drawing is great, but the emblem on it is so familiar and I don't remember where I saw it from! It's driving me insane!! Please tell me... Oh, and are those clowns behind him? Now the other drawing. I never heard of Aku before, but I thought it was hilarious, especially the fact that there are four Os and two Xs. Looks like somebody cheated! ;D I also think think the fire is awesome, and you did great on the hair of the dude with the oversized paint brush and the hat. EDIT: Ah, now I remember!! In Rurouni Kenshin volume 1, page 147, panel 5 the mark of Aku is on the back of Sano's shirt. And on the bottom of the page under panel 5 it says Aku=Evil. Therefore, Aku means evil!!! ;D Still don't remember what that symbol you drew on the first picture is though...

@mr. Ninja: As you can see, the game was already won at three O's but the other one was put in to Spite Aku, who isn't taking defeat all that well . and yeah, Aku does mean "Evil" in Japanese. That symbol on the fallen work was just something I cobbled together- I wanted to create the impression that this land was once great and prosperous before it fell to ruin. For tonight's works, something new and something a bit more. After seeing what I've put up so far, I wanted to do something different, so for my first addition, I've decided to take a swing at Death from Castlevania- this one (Portriat of Ruin) is a wonderful example of how something simple can leave a strong impression- especially since in recent games, Death ususally gets more elaborate attire than usual- so here he is- ready to snuff out any foolish enough to defy his master. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Death.jpgNext up is another page of Scythe- this one's an older page I started not long after receiving the sketchbook from which I drew it in. A few doodles of him in a few different situations and change of clothes, and for a little fun, I had him cosplay as Sanouske Sagara from RK. As you can see, I haven't nailed down Scythe at this point in time, but I like the overall page. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Scythepage2.jpg

Castlvania Portrait of Ruin, sweet... I've played it, beat Brauner, but got stuck on Death and Dracula. Then I got the Vampire Killer whip thing upgraded so when you charge it, and it catches on fire and is alot more powerful. ;D Anyway, the drawing of Death is amazing! It's very accurate to the Castlevania version and it's detailed too. Okay, all I can say is, Sano. Is. Awesome. And I find it a very odd coincidence that you put Sythe dressed as Sano from Rurouni Kenshin right after I mentioned him. Were you planning to put the Sano drawing up even if I hadn't mentioned him, or did you just dig it out of your sketchbook when I mentioned it...?
