So, somehow, I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to go to the New York Comic-Con! ;D They're going to have several famous people there (duh ), like Bruce Timm (one of the main minds behind the universally-praised Batman: The Animated Series), Gabe & Tycho (Creators of Penny Arcade), many comic book legends, Joss Whedon (I heard he's famous ), Seth Green...and far, far, faaaaaar too many others to count in one post. They screen movies too- the new Futurama movie, for one, and also the new CGI Yatterman, as well. I'll put a link to their home page Here. Well? Know about this 'Con? Anything you want to say about cons in general? This'd be a good place to put that.

It already ended right? Did you get in on any good panels? I hear when ever it's something remotely cool there's always a huge line to get in.

It's a great convention to go to if you want to meet your hero of comics. I would be bless if I can go. The other best part of it is that you get to see other young comic artist as well. Most of these are not wannabe mangaka, rather, real art students. This is not to say, there won't be comic artist that favor the style of Japanese Manga. Just note that that this is America comic con, where as Japan has it's own (Comic kit)

Yes, I'd say. I went to a Penny Arcade panel- it was really fun; the creators have a good sense of humor even in real life! And yes, there are huge lines for everything. There were many artists in the 'artist's alley', and much of them had great art. "Manga-style" did (or rather does) have a large influence on them, and even more experienced artists who like to experiment with the style, at least from what I've read. There was a variety of styles there, and I found that the style I most liked was really a blend of several kinds.
