I was reading over a few forums and I found slight hint that some people here could be interested in Harry Potter. So, I'm making a thread, all Harry Potter discussion here, kudasai! I'll start the ball by making the wild accusation that Snape, the potions master is actually a vampire or half vampire. Don't worry I have evidence. Also if you are interested there are two hysterical flash animations called Potter Puppet Pals that I just crack up over EVERY time I see it! www.potterpuppetpals.com/Whew so funny!

Yeah, it's cause he hates Lupin so much, right?
Don't forget that Crookshanks is a kneazel, too (that's a cat-demon).

I am currently reading through Book 5 right now, so no end-of-book spoilers! I'm at the part where Trelawny got the boot, and Firenze came in to take her place.
BTW, who totally hates Umbridge?

BTW, who totally hates Umbridge? *raises hands and waves them* We should... um... BOIL HER, MASH HER, AND STICK HER IN A STEW!* ...Lupin is such an awesome character in the books. The movie didn't do him justice at all. And yeah, Crookshanks is DEFINATELY a Kneazle. Or at least, part Kneazle. If you read the book about magical creatures and read the parts about Crookshanks, it becomes more obvious. Oh, and SIM, everyone dies in the end. EVERYONE. LOL just kidding. *For lack of better ways to deal with Umbridge, I have resorted to quoting "mashed taters", which will probably annoy anyone who has seen the video.

Lupin is DEFINITELY one of my fav characters in the books. He's an awesome teacher and probably one of the only good teachers for the DADA position. Moody might have been good, but we really didn't see much of the curse-deflecting-teaching he did. Umbridge is just plain EVIL, and Gilderoy is a lamewad. As for Quirrell, the book never covered his teaching skills, but based on the 3 seconds in the movie, he sounded like he'd be average or above average.
And anyone else think that Rowling did a great job creating Quiddich?

I think Gilderoy Lockhart is the cooles! He's one of the most entertaining charcters from modern literature.
A quick pop-quiz for you:
"What would be Gilderoy Lockhart's ideal birthday present?"

"What would be Gilderoy Lockhart's ideal birthday present?" ...You know, world peace, that magical whisky stuff... I haven't read that one in forever. Lockhart reminds me of Glyde somehow... And anyone else think that Rowling did a great job creating Quiddich? Dude, I so wanna be a Seeker. Although, I'd probably be like, a Beater or a Keeper. Oh, yeah, you asked a question, didn't you. YES. QUIDDITCH IS GUD. I want a pet Hypogriff, too. ;D I luff BuckBeak. Dobby is another one of my favorite characters. He's just too funny to not like.

I neve even considered that before, but Gilderoy Lockhart really IS a lot like Glyde. That's pretty cool.

Buckbeak rawks, especially when he impaled Malfoy.
Dobby is just wierd. I don't like how he got Harry into trouble all those times.
And Sirius rawks, although I heard he dies.

OMG I want to SHOOT myself with a max powered bustergun whenever I even hear the name!! AH that thing iS SOO annoying!! He's always getting Harry in trouble and he's so STUPID and So frustrating. House elves in general are frustrating. -__- That one girl house elf is annoying too... annoying annoying annoying! Oh I love Sirius though, he's so neato, I like lupin too. Hmm who else.. Snape! Ok everyone hates him but I just can't help it! I'm a total Severus fan. OH trivia thingy: Did you know Sirius is a constellation shaped like a dog? ^^ cool huh?

Yeah, there's a lot of puns you may not get the first time you read the books. Like Sirius, the dog star, and Sirius changes into a dog. Remus Lupin, for instance. Remus, like Romulus and Remus, the mythic twin brothers who were raised by WOLVES. Get it?
I didn't like Dobby very much in the second book, but in the fourth and fifth books, I started to like him quite a bit. I liked Winky a little better after she became an alcoholic, too.
I also like George, but not Fred so much. Don't ask me why. And Luna. I think she rocks.

I happen to be a Hermione fanatic. Strange... I just realized that the female is a superior race. If Ella (Ella Enchanted), Hermionie, Lucy( Cronicles of Narnia), Kate (Merlin Effect), Violet (Series of Unfortuinate Events), or Tron (Can't forget her!) existed way back when history would have been very very very different. Harry Potter is a great series! I love Order of the Phoenix! Too bad it has so much pop karma (know what I mean) your seen reading HP and people say your a little kid but if you read The Hobbit people say otherwise (even though it is so much more childish). There's people to you the media contols our minds.

I didn't like the HP movies at all...but the books are excellent. I'm a Lupin fan personally. Lockhart was good for laughs though.

I was checking out JK Rowling's website and I read that none of her characters, except one, are based on real people. That one character is none other than Lockhart. Pretty funny, although I'm slightly not surprized.
