I vote Batman.
In a way Batman is the only true hero. Unlike other heros he didn't acuire his powers in some big twist of fate. He wanted to help people. He didn't want any other child to feel what he felt that night his parents died. So he took it upon him self to train and become stronger and smarter. So he's a hero because he wants to be not because... "Oh d**n I got bite by a Spider and got Super powers, guess I better help people" or "whats this? I'm form another planer? And the yellow sunrays form earths sun give me super powers? Cool, I better help people."
My next fav. would be Spider-Man. But the X-Men would probably be more complex than Spidey.

I hate super heroes. Why can't the villains ever win? Is that so much to ask?

... you obviously know nothing about super heros. In the Batman Mythos alone, the Joker alone has won so many victories over Batman. He killed the second Robin(Jason Todd), shot Batgirl in the spine and paralyzed her, and killed Commissioner Gorden's wife. Baine(SP?) broke Batman's back(the first one to ever beat him) and KG Beast fought and beat and out ran(on roof tops, which Batman was suposedly the best at doing that) Batman fair and square. I know theres more in the Batman stories alone and countless more in other superhero stories but i don't know them that well.
Despite the crazy super powers, tights, and weird villians the Super Hero Universe are actually pretty realistic.

MegaMan, who else? lol, MegaMan made the choice to stop Wily, but yeah, he did have to have modifications made to be battle ready(see MM4 intro). Even so, all he was equiped with was his "armor", and a puny little buster gun. He gets the other 6/8 weapons himself. *nod* ...does MegaMan not count? In that case I'd have to say Spiderman. Just because I'm somewhat obsessed with spiders. (...personally, I think my reasons or liking MegaMan were better)

Well, assuming Rockman and all related characters are out of the picure, it'd be a close tie between Spider-Man and Superman. I'll vote for Spider-Man since he has two killer movies, and the Ultimate Spider-Man series is great.

Other. Even though he is more of an anti-hero than a superhero, my vote goes to Spawn.

Yeah Batman Begins was a really good movie. Most comic book movies are "That was good for a movie based on super heros" but Batman Begins got rated like it was it's own movie.

Hrmm... It's kind of difficult to name one. I'm all for U.S. superheros, I've just never actually bought any comics or anything to concentrate on one series...
Batman Begins was completely awesome and the "The Batman" series is pretty good too (Bane is awesome in it). I think my favorite U.S. Superheroes would be Cyclops of X-Men, Iron Man of... hrmm... he's been popping up everywhere, I have no idea where he originated. And a lot of the X-Men originated in other comics too, right? Villains are what really make a comic series. I like Lex Luthor of Superman, and like I said, Bane's awesome in the Batman. Scarecrow episodes in anything are also really good. The original Joker was cool too. I like the new one's teeth, but little else. The Mad Hatter was also cool, and Two-Face.

Unfortunately I haven't seen too much of The Batman. I've seen right up to the episode where his Police friend turns into Clay Face. But only the first episode I missed the second. I think it's alright but not as good as the original that came out in the early Nineties. Which is still going on with the Justice League.
As I know it the X-Men first came out and it was only a few Mutants. But it gained crazy fame when a new artist and writer took over and they added a bunch of new Mutants. Most notable of which would be Wolverine and Storm. And after that there was a bunch of spin-offs and new characters being created in the spin-offs and then appearing in the original stories.

True, it's not as good as the old animated series. If I was able to sit and watch it for a full 30 minutes when I was a kid, it couldn't have been so bad.
The new justice League's aren't that bad, not as bad as the old one's anyways. The reappearance of the Legion of Doom is a good thing. Still, Unlimited is kind of irritating. It threw in supposedly limitless heroes, but you only get plots involving a select handful.

I vote spiderman. Hes rad, he has two super awesome movies, and an awesome older cartoon. I just caught an old episode a couple weeks ago, where some guy sent spiderman to a war ravaged planet, let him pick a team of superheros (ironman, captain america, the fantastic 4, etc.), and had to battle Villains (Doc Oc, Vulture, Red Skull etc.) Its pretty rad when they ahve a couple episodes with mass battles of ALL the big heros, and all the big time villains.

"Oh d**n I got bite by a Spider and got Super powers, guess I better help people" Say WHAT?Erm, no. I don't think so. Spiderman's motivation was the fact that he had the power to save people, and he felt a responsibility to do so. He didn't just just fight crime on a whim. All defensiveness aside, Spiderman's probably my favorite. I'd liked him since my dad showed me some old DC comics. In a funny coincedence, we have the same last names. Err, I mean Spidey, not my dad.
