I am trying to rip models from the legends games with
www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm
but I do not have 3D Studio Max and I cannot import the Maya .obj files.

I have it, and it does work. If you were to send me the files, I'd open them and convert them to something you could view them in (I'd also touch them up, as the models are no perfect.)

Anyway, yeah I can open 3dr files, I actually have before with that same program, its pretty cool.

I'm willing to help you out, this kind of stuff is fun to do.
