Honestly, a lot of the popular Megaman sites are either down, dead, or under renovation. MMLS - fab's on leave, so no site updates...forum's been rather quiet too. MLU - Does it ever get updated? MMN - Undergoing move, under construction. PMM - Hasn't quite recovered from well-known (but little-known-about) 'incident'. I've also checked a few of MMLS's affils and there doesn't seem to be much action there either. PS, fab, if you see this, 'ForeverSnow' doesn't look like a Megaman fancomic site anymore.EDIT: The URL for ForeverSnow (Zero Shift) is www.foreversnow.com/index2.html - maybe I should file this under site glitches I understand that there are slow times for various sites, but this is mad! I would've thought there would be a few sites still active...

THe entire MegaMan fan base seems to be slow right now. really think it wouldn't matter. If it continues like this, that would cause concern.

One of my five websites is based on a MegaMan series and it's pretty much dead. In fact, all of my sites are dead. -_-

MMLS's inactivity's been a pretty big concern around here for quite a while...and it seems it's come at quite an inopportune time. This place always used to be bustling with activity, and it always seemed like there was always staff on hand to take care of things. Now, it's so empty that I'm afraid if I don't show up here every once in a while, everything will just fade away.
But what everybody here fails to realize is that they can do something to help solve this predicament! It might take some time, and it might take some money, but who cares? I know that it may seem crazy, but if everybody would help each other out a little, then things might start to kick into gear. We need some new ideas to get this site back up and give the MML fans someplace to go again! If we all work together, I know we can make this place just as good as it once was.

fab's leave has hardly been 3 months thus far.
The problem here at the forums is simple. People just keep leaving. We've lost almost all the people I thought would be here the longest, I've even been thinking about bailing, myself, lately. Sure there've been a few friendly new faces around here, but a good portion of those new people tend to disappear within 10 days after arrival.
We're losing people faster than we're taking people in. I... don't know if that's something us active members can fix really. Because, well, I've tried. >_< At least a few times a new member's blown in who I thought was interesting, so I'd send 'em a PM saying Welcome and all that phun stuff, asking them to please stick around, and I dunno if I've seen any of those people for a while.. Kinda depressing.
If you're suggesting going on a posting overhaul, I'm all for that. ^-^ But lately my excessive posting hasn't been helping any... Some days here see fewer than ten posts collectively it seems. I just don't know. Maybe if the RPG really picks up, that'll draw in members, I suppose, but it seems that once again the RPG's gotten a lotta enthusiasm without any effort to back it up. I dunno what else could be used to draw members in. Seems the only possible other way people are gunna start pouring in is if Capcom finally sees the light and gives us our sequel! That or if Sony lifts the No Direct Ports policy so the ports can see their way over... which do you think is more likely? XD
I just don't know.. anything is something I guess, so whatever you're talkin about trying I'm behind ya 100%! *salute!*

P and shaw. This place is by no means dead. Those bones are just some leftover Halloween decorations I forgot to clean up.
I partially agree with JMC. On one hand, I don’t keep up with news concerning all of them lesser sites, so I wouldn’t know how active the community is as a whole. However, I do not believe there is any cause for concern at the moment, especially considering the season. I don’t care what those gift-wrapping commercials or that Nicolas guy with the bag says; the holidays are hardly a time to relax. Nearly everyone 20 years old and below is busting their heads open for semester finals, or busy with other family matters. Horribly greedy of those families, distracting those poor children with all that talk about togetherness and love when they could be on here inflating our thread count.
Anyway, people are busy. I’d give it till at least New Years before getting concerned in the least. I’ve read somewhere that these forums seem to see a surge of activity in the spring and summer months, which makes perfect sense. That’s the useless half of the year. Those are the long stretches of nothingness that exist so that the calendars don’t need to be re-written. And I’m sure that the site has always gotten a fair stream of patrons from those other sites, being affiliated to them. We can’t do much about them being down, but it’s surely affected our activity nonetheless. The bolded text on the front page saying “MMLS, Bidding You a Fond Farewell...” may also be sending the wrong message. If Fab comes back sometime this month, as he estimated, we’ll be back up and running at least.
And I’ve been around here less, yes. But I have an excuse. A good one! I was... busy. Work you know. And pirates! Indeed, there were pirates involved. Terrible interruption you know. And I needed to go shopping too. For tea from the general market. On a desert island! With no boat. I had to swim to it, carrying my wallet in my mouth. And a refrigerator! Yes, I had a refrigerator tied to my back to keep the food cool on the return trip. Then the pirates came back for a second round, and the sharks keyed onto the blood from that cut I got when I smashed my hand in the microwa— eh, skydiving! Yes. And then the tsunami hit, and the extension cord got tangled, and... and, uh...
Look, I’m here more then it seems, all right? I just lurk a lot. And since when did this become about me? What time did you get home last night exactly?
... So, just don’t worry about it. Members may come and go, but debates over when DASH will get a sequel, what Juno’s gender is, and the Microsoft-Sony-Nintendo Triangle of Hate will last for eternity. I say we wait. It’s only a matter of time before something or another happens. At the moment, it doesn’t seem near serious enough to fuss over. The sites all being down/dead at the same time is just coincidence. Things should pick up on their own. For now, I suppose we’d best try and squirrel away a few members for the harsh winder ahead. I’ve been welcoming new members who happen to make their own welcome board with my usual open-armed cheerfulness, but a couple more how-de-doos might warm them up a bit, although I think sending them a private message may be going a bit too far. I can’t speak for them, but overly friendly people scare me. o.o
The RP section would definitely be good to get open, as it seems to have gravitated a few members to us over the months. Not to rush Griffin, but it is rather stale there. And that’s not even because of Griffin anyway; nearly everyone seems to have dropped out of their own accord, leaving only 3 or 4 venturous souls left. I’m at a loss as to what to do about that dark corner of the forums, but that's a different matter.

Not dead perhaps, but with lots of the great member's leaving(mainly claiming to do so permenantly, mind you) a part of it most certainly is dying. The season definitely contributes to it, but a chunk of the leaving members in question departed before-hand. I don't really think it's so much of a question of inactivity, as it is people leaving. I sure hope Legends Station gets up again soon.. I certainly hope that's not turning potential people away. I'd hope it would bring more in - those wanting to show off fan-material particularly. Err... yeah. EDIT: Hmm... well, maybe I shouldn't bring that up.. As far as Personal Messages went, it was mainly because the member in question was into something I thought was interesting, and I asked about that, and then at the end of the message casually mentioned that I hope they'd stick around. I dunno what to do about that either. But I think it'd help. I hope we can get that room description sometime soon and at least get a three-way play goin between Finalhazard, you, 'n me.

Well, there's gotta be something we can do to get more members, I mean, we can't leave it up to Google to send us members. I propose the remaining members of MMLS work on some sort of attraction or giant cyber ferris wheel or something. I mean, LTD was a hit when it was released...anyone good at GameMaker? Perhaps we can make more fangames and stuff like that. That might not help the numbers go up, but it should help the numbers say up. I'd hate to say this, but I fear the site it going to be a ghost town in a few months. Now, I've only been here a year, I don't really know if it's normal...but I'm thinking after New Years there'll be a lot of people looking for something to do...I mean, I (as well as a few others) signed up around December... I dunno, just voicing a concern. MMLS is too good of a site, nay, a community for it to fade away to nothing. And MLT, do clean up the bone props. Just don't throw 'em in the closet. Skeletons in the closet aren't any better

The fandom is dying out because there has been nothing really new from the heads at Capcom because of other Megaman games, although a friend has told me that the most recent Megaman Zero game might be a possible conclusion to the series. Probably not, but it if is, it might have been in order to make room for more development on other games, possibly a MML3. Inafune has said that he likes MML, right?
I think Namco x Capcom might hold some hope for new blood for the fandom, but that's like saying Kingdom Hearts revived Disney (when it really increased the Final Fantasy whoring, I feel)... But neither of these are really "dying" like Legends. Cinderella is an animated classic. Megaman Legends is a game, although not one of high standing and "classic" status. As painful as it is to admit it, it's becoming very outdated to today's standards. I love it, but I don't think future generations are going to buy it. Maybe a PSP release would say otherwise.
Thus is speculation.

I just joined and I have no intentions of leaving, so you can expect me to be here as long as possible, ok? ^_^ That's what just about everyone else says. It's been rumored that the EXE series is coming to an end as well, but I personally doubt both of those as both series's are still making Capcom money. History doesn't lie; they kept pushing the X series, they'll keep pushing these. You'd think the PSP ports meant something, right? But I dunno, it seems they were nothing but a response to Namco X Capcom for the people who played and didn't understand the DASH characters... that's my thought anyway. I still really wanna get the ports, though, so it's too bad we're never gunna see 'em without importing.

Oi, you guys are worrying too much over this. Yeah, MMLS isn't exactly at it's peak of interest right now, but good things come to those who wait.
However, site up-dates wouldn't hurt. New features will certainly catch peoples attention (unlike my music thread nowadays x.x). I don't know, I'm not one to try and build on someone else's creation. Perhaps we should get fab into this discussion?

I think they are all disappearing because... a.) the sitemaster's busy (school, work etc. just like torikakae! check his web http://www.mmlo.uni.cc) b.) under construction (viruses? I hate you guys!) c.) dead (most sites) d.) he/she doesn't remember he/she created one. (oh crap really!)

I remember I first came to this site seeking help on a speed run. That thread and project is long gone but at the time it got alittle attention. After a while I left and started posting on another Legends Forum. But I left that Forum because of a guy who was alittle too "gangster" for my comfort. And I came back here. It took me awhile to get use to the colors and layout(they aren't bad but I like to feel familiar when I hang out in a website) but after that I'm a frequent.
As you can tell my story is very specific so it's hard to think of reason why people would get up and leave since it's never really the same(Unless ofcourse they did just forget). I can say that I'm not a big fan if Role Playing. It's just not my thing. And I'd love to get into Fan-Fics but I don't have the time. And I don't have a scanner so I have no real means to show off my drawing skills. So I guess I come here for nice like-minded people(for the most part)
I think when MMLEx is finished it'll probably bring alot of people(not to put more pressure, you guys are going great). I've asked around in the gamespot Forums and they seem to miss the Legends series. A Fan mad game would pull in a fare amount of people.
