Yeah, I didn't really understand the Clone Troopers rebellion. Just doesn't make sense to me. And I'm confused with all the switching of people: was Padme actually Queen Amidala or her body double???

Yeah, that's the thing, he should have made it simpler or took the time to explane it a little better. It was suppose to be like mission impossible, really complex, but something like that has to be written by a genius who really knows the whole story line, and he was still re-writing the episodes before he started filming them. Your example, when the clones joined the dark side, was really confusing. However, if you read the history of the Jedi on super shadow dot com you read that the same guy who commissioned them, some jerk, zanthris or something, was taking orders from the dark side, and also took the planet where the clones were made out of the archives. Now how everybody was suppose to know that I know not, but after putting it together it made a lot more sense. That's why they did what Darth Sidious said when he told them, it was his order that made them, so he was there real master or something. The more you know.

Amidala is Padme. She just disguised herself and had one of her own handmaidens be her body double.

I thought the clones were just programmed to obey the Emperor's orders above anyone else's. I mean, he just said the order and they were ready to slaughter all the Jedi. Even Master Conehead couldn't handle them.

That's just the thing. The plot has these gigantic loopholes, but since the action is so good, along with the rest of the movie generally, the mind fills them in or ignores them. As for it, if you want to read the history of the Jedi, or something that you might find equally interesting (and dissapointing ), namly the rough plots to Episodes VII - IX check out [ftp]SuperShadow.com[/ftp]! It's crazy... or at least Mr. Lucas is. Crazy enough anyway.

I would give you three thousand to one odds that those "plots" for upcoming "movies" are hugely false and based on absolutely nothing whatsoever. The "exclusive Lucas interview" seemed to also be entirely fictional, even moreso than the other items.

Yup, Grievous is cool. I can just do his voice. He sounds like he just blew in from a Spanish-speaking country with much knowledge of English.

I myself kind of loathe the recent movies, and am not like, OBSESSED with the old ones, though they are excellent movies. I have a friend who is, though, and when I mentioned rewatching the oldest 3, he commented, sadly, that I would never be able to ever again because of the special editions that were released a few years ago. These editions, he said, took the old movies and at certain parts inserted things from the NEW movies into them. I gave him a big old "So freaking what?!" until he explained that whenever the movies are shown on TV, it is always these newer versions. Oh yeah, and that on the DVD... THERE IS NO WAY TO WATCH THE SCENES AS THEY ORIGINALLY WERE!! WTF?!
That is just sick and wrong.
So since I'm not up on the Star Wars news... Is there or will there ever be any way to get Star Wars on DVD without the tainting of the newer movies?

There is still and original set of the old Star Wars movies, but it's on VHS. It's the silver case. Star Wars Trilogy. That's all it says.

Man, VHS doesn't count! Who the heck still watches VHS? My grandpa, that's who!
That really bites if they haven't released the original ones on DVD or are planning to...

No, they're really not going to, because George Lucas considers the updated versions to be the "real" movies. I kind of get why people are angry about this, but I'm really not. The only problem I have with the updated movies is that Greedo shoots at Han Solo first, which really takes a lot of impact out of the scene. Otherwise, there aren't a whole ton of differences.
You could get tapes of the old movies and put them on a DVD-R, I guess, but other than that, there's not going to be any DVD versions of them, unfortunately.

Hey! There ARE DVD players/VCRs. But if you wanna be that way about it fine. And while I'm at it, what's your favorite character.

I myself own the DVDs, and I haven't got around to watching them yet, but I just wish they hadn't changed Boba Fett's voice. The original voice sounded much more mysterious and sinister. But despite the voice changing and stuff, it's still good.

I just watched Episode III but they posted the wrong start time for it so I missed about an hour of the movie >_<
I also have I and II on DVD although, I'm kinda lazy and haven't watched it yet. I also have some movies that I had for months and haven't even watched it but it's another story.
The best is the episodes IV, V and VI but that's just my opinion although the newer ones have better special effects, it's some of the bland dialog that kills me in the end XD Not that I hate it or anything - it has it's on pros and cons as well.
