I haven't played it yet myself, but I've heard really good things about Rockman 4: Minus Infinity. The 0.02 patch is even better since the game makes things more fair, but it's still hard. I don't know if they've come out with another new version since I last looked. I've only even played the 0.01 version most of the way through, but it's one of the best Mega Man hacks out there. Speaking of video games, I finally started my first new one of the year last week in Ys I on the PSP. It's interesting how combat works since you have to run into enemies off of center to damage them and not get damaged yourself. It's a far cry from The Oath in Felghana, but I'm still having fun with it. Also, Happy Singles' Awareness Day to you all.

Danganronpa's officially on Steam and DR2 is coming somewhere down the road, although no official announcement from Steam about that one just yet.
I pulled one of the more awesome trading cards.
It's 25 bucks to anybody interested while its launch sale lasts; you also get a free 16-track OST if you purchase during this week, and the soundtrack will be unavailable afterwards.
It's better to live it than to stream it, I've found. Kyle definitely helped in my decision to buy it all that time ago. Lol
I'll edit the post in the respective thread when I'm less busy. The OST sale won't last forever, so it's worth getting that out there on a lunch break.

So I was playing Alpha Sapphire, and I wondertraded away a random Ralts that I caught. This was the result of the trade. I don't think it's a legit Cobalion, but it was surprising.

I'm usually the last person in the world to encourage Pokemon discussion, but while cleaning house today I came across a few shoeboxes full of old Pokemon cards from when I collected them some 15 years ago. Always having been the sort of person who liked the collecting aspect - and had absolutely no real concern for the game aspect - I decided to sort and document the boxes with the first functional card collection database website I could find. The results are here. Unfortunately they: - only recognized the proper game cards, and not all of the non-game collectible cards thrown into the mix, like everything produced by Topps.
- can't add Japanese cards, like my Japanese holo Golduck.
- can't distinguish Misprint cards, like my rotated-energy-symbol base set Diglett.
- had no concern for first edition vs. unlimited runs.
- does a very poor job at handling reverse-foil cards that became a thing with the Legendary Collection.
- give wildly optimistic valuations that I absolutely refuse to accept as fact. Avg $496.55 USD? Hah!
- don't use set numbering except when hacked in out of necessity.
All in all, though, I think I'm going to try to hunt down my other binders and boxes of cards and see if I can't add to this list, if only for the hilarity of that total valuation. Of course, if there's a better site for this (especially if they also recognize collectible cards), I'd be happy to switch over. EDIT: Found my main collecting binder from way back when. Slowly adding those now. EDIT 2: Finished adding binder. New supposed average market price of $1179.15 USD. There's no chance in hell these things are worth that much. Still, I'll update the list if I come across another cache. EDIT 3: Found another handful of cards, including two unopened 11-card boosters (!) which will remain sealed. EDIT 4: Finished adding handful. New supposed average market price of $1190.01 USD. I'm definitely holding out for that extra penny, too.

Dang. You've got quite a bunch, Chiz. The first card I looked for, Holo-Ninetales, and you have it. I don't remember a lot of the cards I used to own outside of that one. Certainly never shoeboxes worth of them, only enough for a somewhat big deck.

Mikéy, there was a time when all the kids in the neighbourhood were quickly losing interest in Pokemon cards, and I bought whole decks for pennies on the dollar because they wanted to move on to the next thing (which I believe was Yu-Gi-Oh at the time). Coupled with a few garage sale hits, and I'm pretty sure I've got a number of shoeboxes yet to find. Sure, I might've spent a hundred or so dollars on a good couple kilograms of cards, but they filled in a lot of holes in my collection.

Continuing discussion tangently related to Pokemon, while I was working on the content for the next update of a Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire screenshot Let's Play I'm doing on another forum, I took the liberty of refining my custom 3DS home menu theme and made a matching Homebrew Launcher theme. Here's a preview: The Homebrew Launcher theme is for Mashers' Grid Launcher variant, but the general gist of the themes is 'Famicom Red DS Firmware'.

WiiU's ending production this year. NX to be formally announced later. WiiU's sales, compared to the original Wii have been abyssmal. WiiU 12mil, Wii 101mil, with 70mil in its fourth year.
NX will not be based on Wii concept, and will be something completely different. Late Pres. Iwata stated that the NX is intended to be region free.
None of that surprises me. I always felt the WiiU's concept was a poor attempt to milk more from the Wii by adding a silly thing. Also making the console a hybrid of handheld and console concepts was a bad idea. It was a shot in the foot to require the 'controller' to be charged or plugged (like a handheld) in order for certain features and activities to work. But in the end that last part is merely my conjecture. However, I have noted that not very many interesting games have been talked loudly about for the WiiU, suggesting to me that there weren't truly that many anticipated titles. I heard a lot of talk about a very small number of games prerelease, and then heard nothing about them after... contrary to other consoles which I've heard consistent talk about before and since release of games. 3DS games for example, I hear people regularly talking about. PS4 as well. And PC. Less about the Xbone, but still more than WiiU.
Take all of that as you will.

Well, the Nintendo NX certainly looks promising. I wonder what kind of a funky controller they'll throw at us this time and what kind of backwards compatibility it'll possess, if any. Probably none.
I'm one of the people who couldn't understand why the Wii-U was supposed to replace my Wii, and never pursued the potential of having one, except maybe for Smash, and that's still a bit of a bad standalone reason to have one, since I could just go out and buy Brawl to play with family since I have Smash 3D for online play already. To me, the Wii-U really didn't seem all that much different and felt like a console cash-grab more than anything, so I'm glad the issue is being put to rest. I wonder how long they'll continue providing Nintendo connectivity support for the Wii-U...

Hey, back again with a Tetris report if anyone's interested. Things took quite an interesting turn (interesting to me, at least) after I posted my scores. I came across a forum where people were talking about players reaching the 999,999 limit back in the day, which prompted a search with words like "max score" or whatever. I found someone on YT who had done it, by taking advantage of the speed cap and just gradually accumulating points by clearing lines one or two at a time. I scoffed and facepalmed, unable to believe that I had honed my skills all those years only to be bested by mad survival frenzy. But if that's the only way to do it, I thought, what the heck, no problem. Turns out there's a reason I'd honed my skills all those years; the speed at Level 20 is insanely fast, so I'd play near perfectly to get the highest score possible before things got too hectic for me. As such, it was not an easy adjustment to abandon my stacking instincts and attempt to stay alive under the frantic falling conditions. But adjust I did, being a little less anal about clearing nothing but 4 rows at once, gradually getting the hang of surviving at Level 20, and most importantly finding the balance between strong play and desperate play and knowing when to switch gears. Scores in the 500k range became frequent, and I began passing the 600k mark regularly. As of my previous Tetris post I had 10 scores in the 600k range, now I have 30! And 4 of those new ones top my old high, reaching to 694668. And finally, today, I'm very pleased to announce that I've finally broken into the realm of 700k scores! Having achieved that, think I'll set the game aside for a good, long while. Obviously it's still a long way to go to 999,999 but I feel like I'm on the right path.

Zootropolis had its hype and approval justified. It was cheerful at start and it gradually became darker and edgier (considering this is for children, it's surprising). But... the bunny multiplying jokes? Really? I saw Bugs Bunny do that before and I was okay because it was Looney Tunes... There is also the question about the Godfather reference... but it was funny so... it's fine. As always Disney proves once again the best thing they do in animations: HAIR AND FUR. Not I am not joking, I cannot describe the shine and the shadow they make hair and fur on their characters. Truly amazing.
Finally a bit of nitpicking: every animal was very proportionate to their real size except for the Lamb Vice Mayor (can't remember her name) And when there is a scene where she is besides other lambs she is three times smaller... she is at the same size as Judy. I know I am reading too much into it, sorry.

It could be justified that she might have been the runt of the litter, so to speak. That, or it was just a design choice to make her appear more meek and fragile. Either way, I think that's enough about Zootopia's Assistant Mayor Bellwether. Smells like the milk is starting to spoil.
