The only thing I get to do this Easter weekend is sit on my duff waiting pointlessly for work that I haven't got yet. I hate this; I'm going stir-crazy here without anything to do. I wish I could get out and do an Easter Egg hunt, 'cause then there's the possibility of earning some quick cash; people in my area usually stuff $20 in at least one or two eggs when they hide 'em.

Friend of mine over Skype shared a little picture with me that I think is worth "reading".

That is a truly impressive level of commitment to the joke.
So. A curious thing happened to me today. I got a call from a Wells-Fargo Debt collection number... specifically their home mortgage debt number. Now, ordinarily I'd attribute this to a scam or whatever, but the number's legit.
The problem with that is... I don't have a home mortgage... or loan... or any sort of finance tied to homes... Moreover, I've never communicated with Wells Fargo in my life.
Now, this call happened at 12:46PM, and I was away from my phone at the time, so I didn't get to answer it and find out what's up...but they didn't leave a message.
I find this all very suspect.

Yeah, that's weird. I get bot calls from the famous Rachel of Cardholder Services every now and again, but nothing like that. It's disappointing when you think someone cool might be calling, or maybe even a particularly interesting wrong number, and it's something like that. I'm sure now that Steve from Blue's Clues has gone off to "college" he was slapped with the reality stick and realized that not every call or letter he gets is going to be from his suspiciously underage friends. Maybe it was a debt collector who had a wrong number!

Maybe. I'm not calling back until they leave a message. If its important and they don't leave a message, then they can't claim they did everything responsibly.
If they call again while I'm around I may pick up of course... I may not. I'm honestly not sure whether to trust a cold call from a company I've never dealt with in any capacity.
If I get repeated calls I'll probably call their fraud support number.

For a while, I was getting bot calls from some service I eventually looked up and discovered was in either Atlanta or Marietta. I have no idea why they were calling; maybe they were trying to reach my dad or someone, I'm not sure. I just kept hanging up on them, and eventually they stopped calling. I hope I never hear from them again, to be honest; I don't like answering my phone.

I get spam calls to the point where I don't even pick up anymore unless a picture is associated with them due to them already being in my contacts. Nobody even technically uses the phone anymore; Skype has taken over. Since I have mobile and the landlines aren't mine, I don't have to worry about -not- having ID.

I kind of feel like RPing... but out of the two simulcast RPs going on right now, both seem pretty reasonably set for players.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of freeform thing going on, so I'm sort of lacking a way to express much of my RP desire...
I already know I don't have the patience to GM one either, so that's entirely out of the question. I thought about making a thread to discuss the possibility of a sandbox RP, but I couldn't figure out what section it would belong in, since its both general chat and RP with a bit of site discussion mixed in.
I really felt like stretching my actuators today... oh well.

Any thread discussing or otherwise involving RPing in any way should belong in the RP board, naturally. That board's there for the sake of discussion about it altogether; not just the RPs themselves. We've tried sandboxed RPs before. A lot of us aren't terribly big fans of them. We tried one for awhile that you can find in the memory storage unit... You can see how often it (MMLS City) got necro'd and how many people outright left or stopped posting in it, and after so long, I, being one of the original posters in it, decided to archive it before it could become necro'd again. But yeah. I'll leave it at that. You can inquire further if you make a thread.

I keep my RPs off-board, mainly because they're not Legends-related and I don't want to post something like that where it's largely unwanted. There's only one I'm doing now, a Pokemon RP that I myself am GMing, on my usual home forum Fort Ticonderoga. It's fun, and it's running at a good clip for one I just recently started. I actually have an entire overarching plot for the RP already set in my mind, which makes it easy to compose posts for.
It's like telling a story, only many people are contributing to the mix so the end result shows the unique efforts and aims of several protagonists instead of just the main two. And I intend much much later to have a happy ending for everyone, because that's how I roll.

I tried Shamchat yesterday afternoon as a bunch of characters from children's TV shows. Barney the Dinosaur sent a lame brooding anime furry screaming for the hills and a rogue Teletubby sent a sexy prostitute logging out on sight. Pretty much every dialogue exchange began with "OH GOD NO." from the other person. I've found a roleplaying niche more horrifying than any M-rated angle you could possibly conceive! >:]

So... Orlando Woodlund. That's not me, but its apparently who people have been calling me to find. No one I know.

Anyone else get hit with a ridiculous cold this weekend? My nose won't stop running. According to Facebook I'm not the only one, even though it's completely ridiculous to think that people can spread a cold through the internet.
