They still sell Bubble Tape, except it's not its own brand anymore. It's been annexed by the people who make Hubba Bubba bubblegum, now. Still comes in all the classic flavors, though, which is a plus. I should know, I've bought it before. After all, some men just want to watch the world burn.

WHAT, that's outrageous! That's not how it's supposed to work, you can roll out the tape you know? All that tape is gonna fall apart now...

I have nothing against the five-word-rule - I think it's genius. But now I find myself making sure that my posts on every website are at least five words long.

That's actually a good thing. Eventually you'll start doing things like thinking in-depth and reflexively elaborating on what you say, and you'll instantly look more intelligent than a good 90% of people on almost any other site!

I'm actually amazed by any immature person who questions and goes against it. Ultimately they end up leaving, but they rarely had anything of significance to share/contribute to begin with, eh? It happens somewhat often, and it's pretty amusing every time.

I kinda feel that MMLS' posting rules help your internet posting habits increase as a whole. One of the things about this place that I've always respected what the semblance of quality control that goes on here. It's not done in a stuck up way either, it's just about making sure that what people write on here actually makes sense.

Well, what I mean is that I can't just say "Why?" I have to say "Why would you want that to happen?"

Ideally, in a well thought out post, you'd want to follow that up with a bunch of good reasons the person shouldn't want that to happen. Even then, "Why would you want that to happen?" is a lot less ambiguous than "Why?", and that specificity makes you look smarter.

Plus, it does add a bit more character to ones post...thats how I look about it anyway. Personality flavor is a good thing to show.

My opinion on the 5-word rule:
It prevents those God-awful MEME RESPONSE POSTS.
Ugh.
Thank heavens for the rule.

I'll admit: I'm used to writing more than five words in a post, but sometimes I'll feel there needs to be some sort of response and yet the response ends up too short. For instance, I was thanking someone in my intro thread here, and I couldn't think of anything else to say besides "Hahah. Thanks for the welcome!" or something along those lines, and I ended up getting written up for it. I think the 5 word rule is a good thing to have, but I'm the kind of person who prefers living in flexibility. I prefer those kinds of things being suggested, instead of them being forced. I'm not comfortable with walls around me. But meh. Everything else is great, so it's just a small thing. Even if it was a big thing, I'm probably the only one who feels this way so my opinion wouldn't matter in the least. XD In other news, this looks amazing and I want to have it in my mouth:

I hate meme response posts just as much as you do, DT. While using them as an addendum to a post of five words or more isn't against the rules, it does make you look like a complete idiot. And you don't usually get too far around these parts if you happen to actually be a complete idiot. So has anyone here hopped on that weird decorative tape bandwagon? I keep seeing cool tape in stores, like patterned duct and washi tape, and it looks neat and all. I mean, I'd use bacon duct tape. I'm just not sure what people are doing with this tape that's made it so popular. Especially the washi tape version. The duct tape version I know you can use to make accessories and tuxedos, but there are these little funky washi tape sets in Target and I just don't understand what you'd do with them. I got a roll that looks like circuitry and it's just sort of gestating on my dresser gathering dust right now.
