That sucks for the DS.
The DS and PSP as I last saw, the DS had a 3 Mil lead. If you factor in the price of each, the PSP has gotten more money, if you factor in how much it costs... I dunno. Nintendo has owned the Handheld market since forever, a single mistake like this will not dethrown Nintendo.
And thats coming from someone who likes the PSP more than the DS, but owns both.

The outselling was only based on a week, and as I understand it was still pretty close. some other site too, but I can't seem to find it... I's more concerned about the 2nd party thing... I could care less, since I plan on getting a PSP. >.<

As long as it doesn't kill Nintendo, I honestly don't care who sells more units. It'll probably fluctuate some more as the weeks go on. I'm a bit more curious about the Console Wars than this.

I assume the DS sales will go back up when more are in stock.
the DS has been outselling the PSP by a bit for a while now - particularly in Japan. For a week or two, the DS sales topped all other sales of gaming hardware combined. It's sold faster than the GBA. all that phun stuff.
Can anyone answer my question? The PSP/DS thing was supposed to just be a good opening joke... I'd really like to know.

Well, I needed to do a couple of searches, but I found an excerpt from Wikipedia that was eerily precise in its answer.
So yes, there are such things. Although I can't name you any such games right off the bat, if there are second-party developers, there must be second-party game, right?

I think Mario and Luigi Partners in time is a second party game. But I'm not sure.

I’m pretty sure you should be able to tell by the opening sequence... I believe second-party games will have the usual voice that says “Nintendo”, but display the logo of the company that produced it. First-party games should have the same voice, but the logo should be Nintendo’s. Third-party games have neither Nintendo’s logo or the voice.
But I’m only speaking from my experience with the games that I have played.
