Yeah, so I have this friend. She's cool 'n stuff and everything. I think I'll try and get with her...or something.
Either way, that's not the point of this thread. Her step-dad is an actor. Plays in a lot of movies and commercials. One movie he's in is "Domestic Disturbence (sp?)". He's the basketball coach from what I've been told. Anyways, he's my connection to getting roles 'n stuff. Do any of you think I should take advantage of this?
Just a little bit of info, acting is fun. It's only because I dropped out that I stopped >.>

Maybe this is just my warped perspective, but are you saying you're planning on using some girl to get to her father? o.o

It would appear so. XD
If you wish to get into acting, there are better ways. I prefer stalking around big-name producers while making it look as though I’m going about with my everyday business. Just act all theatrical and such, and they're bound to notice you eventually. Of course, if you're like me and decide to speed along the process by smashing their waiter over the head and taking his uniform, then doing a song and dance routine as you take their order, you may find yourself locked in a very unpleasant place with a man named Brittany.
... Actually, your way sounds better.
I say, if you seriously desire to get into the field full-time, this seems like a very opportune moment. A good recommendation or a couple of small jobs can lead to big things. Since his stepdaughter is your friend, it should be hard for him to deny you assistance. At the very least, perhaps he can direct you to someplace with a good entry-level job.

No, I didn't even know her dad was in the acting business until...a couple weeks ago. I've already talked to her about getting a job through him and she didn't seem very bothered >.> Santa Melty: O.O I'm not good at stalking @_@ But I don't think I'd want a full-time job as an actor...or maybe I do. I just wouldn't want anything to take me away from my music and you guys T_T

So you were asking "do you think I should try to pursue a career in acting?" rather than "do you think I should use this girl as a connection in my career in acting?" That's right, isn't it? Anyways, I say sure, if you can get into acting and like it, you should take it. I... really don't know anything about it as a proffesion though. I'd imagine it pays well. Although I guess it's kind of tentative upon how successful you are.

If you aren't sure whether or not you like acting, you should try it for a little while and see if you even like it. If you stay good friends with this girl you should have ample time to see whether or not you like acting enough to make a profession out of it. From what I understand you are EXTREMELY passionate about your music. I have been told all my life to pursue a career in whatever I like doing, so you should do that too! I'm not saying to pass up the opportunity, just to make sure that you really like acting enough to make a career out of it.

Hmm, I think acting would be a good start for a career. I mean, if I got a little successful in that, then it'd be easier to get into my Music career. So...having a Dual-Career wouldn't be too bad. I'd have little time for...anything. But aimmanexe is right, it all depends on how successful (aka -famous) you are.
And Dash(e), I know I like acting. Acting is fun, I just don't know if I'd want to really go big in that or not. I wouldn't want the fame to go to my head and make me look like a jackass in front of everyone here.
Of course, it WOULD be nice to get some feedback on my recent uploads in my Music thread ^^'
