Alright, I've got to try to ask this as calmly as possible...
Does Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion for the PSP get any better after the first 45 minutes- 1 hour of gameplay? Man, I got it for Christmas, and I wasn't expecting much. But geez Louise, after about half an hour of playing, it seems like the worst RPG that has ever existed! The two main characters so far are awful: your main guy is, gasp, a guy in a headband! Your partner is some kind of blonde guy with no personality whatsoever. The plot hinges on an evil guy threatening the safety of the entire world, yet the hero is constantly talking about his sister every 3 minutes and seems to have completely forgotten he ever encountered this villain. His scene with his master dying is incredibly undramatic and anticlamatic. The dialogue is terrible, with misspellings and just a downright lack of grace. I might have seen one joke so far, although I'm not even sure about that, and it was awful too. After all the time I've played so far, I have not yet entered one battle! The music is horrible and repetetive so far. The first town music isn't really even music. The pet system's going to be terrible too by the looks of it, but you know, I haven't gotten far enough to give it a chance yet.
My point is, does anyone else have this game? Is it worth giving a chance? Maybe my expectations for character and dialogue are set a little high, but so far, the game's just tearing me limb from limb with its inability to produce proper characters, storyline, dialogue, etc.
