Yeah. Every single version. Including the GBA one. They are in 3-D of course, but they work super well. OH, AND EACH CHARACTER HAS 2 KARTS!!!!!

What do you need two karts for though? And is it true that you get to paint a kart?(read something like that in Nintendo Power this month(p.83, upper left)) About the Retro mode, which courses do they use? It's just a scattered few from the games, right?
Oh, oh, oh! Probably the most important question, is the touch screen used in any unique and/or awesome way?
Yaaah, I oughta quit askin questions, I'ma probably have the game tomorrow anyway.

Ahihihihihi!!! Two karts are useful cause they each have different stats. Plus they just look plain cool! Actually, though, I read something on GameFAQs that said that each character has 7 karts!!! Pretty amazing. As for the retro Grand Prixes, they take one from each of the other 4 versions in chronological order: SNES's Super Mario Kart to the N64's Mario Kart 64 to the GBA's Mario Kart: Super Circuit to the GCN's Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. They have 4 cups, so there are four from each game. The ones from Mario Kart 64 are Choco Mountain, Frappe Snowland (sorry to say, the infamous bridge trick probably won't work ), Banshee Boardwalk, and Moo Moo farms. The ones from Double Dash!! are Baby Park, Mushroom Bridge, Luigi Circuit, and the infamous Yoshi Circuit *shudders*. I have to say, though, the new courses are AMAZING!! My new favorites are probably Waluigi pinball (which is a giant pinball machine), Peach Gardens (which is the Super Mario 64 Peach's Castle's courtyard), Tick Tock Clock (yes, like the level from Super Mario 64), and Airship Fortress (like the ones from Super Mario Bros. 3). As far as I've seen, the touch screen isn't used for touch, but it is an overhead map that becomes very useful because you can see shells and bananas and all that good stuff.

My god... I got this game yesterday and I have to say I agree 100%. It is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to get on the WiFi Connection. Anyone here who has this should post their Friend Code; we can play with each other! What's your emblem look like? Mine's a poison mushroom. ^-^ EDIT: So, yeah, I played online a few times now.. It's insane. It works just like normal, no lag or anything. It's incredible, it's like 3-4 invisible people are sitting RIGHT THERE playing with you. Well, I guess it's not entirely perfect; I've never been able to finish all four matches without the connection messing up somehow (I think it may be on other people's ends though because I was sitting litterally less than two feet from my router)! But yeah, let's play! 034419 497834

I got the game yesterday, and its definetely the best DS game yet. Its simply and addictive racer. I expecially like seeing some of the SNES tracks, reminds me of that old game...
They made one mistake I think. They should of made a cup with the Rainbow Roads of the 4 older games, that would of rocked.

OMG!!! JMC, THE HATER OF ALL THINGS NINTENDO, GETS A DS?!?!? I'm surprised heck hasn't frozen over!!! Anyways, it's awesome that you guys got it. It should be fun playing you. I hope you guys aren't too good. I'm pretty good, I'd say. I've gotten gold on every cup in each grand prix mode up to 100cc and the first 2 nitro cups in 150cc, so, nyah . Hey, we should all get Wild World too!!! EDIT: Oh, yeah, I almost forgot to ask, who's your favorite character/ what's your favorite kart/ track? My character would have to be Luigi still, kart would be Mario's Shooting Star and track would have to be Tick Tock Clock.

I've only cleared 50cc so far, so you'll have no competition to worry about from me. I haven't moved on to 100cc because I wanna get ««« in all of them, or higher if it's possible. 11/23 EDIT: I've cleared 100cc now, and all four of the Retro Grand Prixs in 150cc(I can use 7 karts for each racer! ... but they're not original karts, just 7 random karts from other characters. Some racers get some of R.O.B.'s karts though, which is neat). Three more gold cups in 150cc Nitro to go to get R.O.B. ![/edit] It's probably why I'm so bad up against people on WiFi. Sometimes it's just cruel though. I'll be waaaaay ahead of 'em till like the last lap, and then one of 'em gets the Gold Mushroom, the guy infront of that gets the Blue Shell, and then the guy behind me gets the Red Shell and I end up in 4th place(not an actual thing that happened, but the end result has happened many times).
Yeah, I think we should all play together. It'll be phun. I gotta finish working on my Yuna emblem for my kart though. And I'm so in for Wild World when that comes out? And what of Metroid Prime: Hunters?
A far as favorite characters, little Dry Bones, slow thing that he is, has gotten me through pretty well in most of the tracks since unlocking him. I don't have any other karts, so the Standard one is what I've been using mostly. When I don't use him it's usually Wario or Daisy. I mainly just like Dry Bones because his car matches my Poison Mushroom emblem pretty well. ^_^
Favorite track... oh, I dunno... every track from the SNES version makes me happy, especially Koopa Beach 2. Luigi's Mansion is phun. Peach Gardens, Waluigi Pinbal, and of course Rainbow Road. I dunno, I can't make up my mind.

OMG, LIGHTNING CUP 150cc IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Arrrrgghh... Anyways, we should organize racing events between the forum members. As soon as I get to my hot-spot, I'll post my friend code. I'm also gonna get that wi-fi USB connector thingie ( CLICK). But I wholeheartedly agree with you, JMC. I would've LOVED to see every Rainbow Road. Especially the N64 version cause it had the best music ;D. OooooOOOoooohhhhH!!! I just made the coolest emblem! I had a snowman one before, like the ones in Frappe Snowland and DK whatever that level is called. But now I have an EVIL STAR. You've got to see it to believe it!!!

Lightning Cup? Is that Retro or Nitro? Retro eh? Yeah, I cleared that one by luck pretty much. I got 1st place in all but one race, in which I think I got second because I only won by 4 points... I'm not sure how it all adds up... >.< Maybe I got third? I dunno, but I cleared it. I'm all for organizing people on this board with DS's to play against each other, but thus far who here owns a DS besides us three DS-eers? A Rainbow Cup would pwn, I'm actually surprised they didn't do that... Last, what'd you do Pharoah, take a star and give it red eyes? My friend did that with a Bunny... I'm sticking to my poison mushroom though, till I figure a good way to make a Yuna.. Yuna... ♥
11/25/05, 3AM(CST) Well, I'm through with all the racing courses in the game. Still can bring the Ranks up some, but it's pretty neat using any character kart with any character. I'ma hafta hold off on any online Friend battling, since it seems there is a problem on my end, and unfortunately one with no clear solution... >.< I can't get past the fourth round of any set of races, and for some reason this messes up how my Win/Loss count registers... we could play, but it'd only be three rounds and I dunno if any victories or losses to me would count to you either. ah well. I think my problem's fixed, so let's play already!

I accidentally won a DS for 2 dollars. I was pleasantly suprised of how much fun a DS is. Now NMN has a DS too. But as you know, he rarely posts any more (as I rarely post except more so.)
Favorite Track... Star Cup, The ship from Mario Bros. 3. I always wanted to see one of those in 3D. I can't believe they thought of putting it in the game.
Nothing is impossible, I beat all the cups, except in Mirror Mode (I'm in middle of beating it right now). Does anyone know how the online works. I just don't want to go on and get my butt kicked in my first match.

I've cleared Mirror Mode, it was really awkward though.. I kept making wrong turns. They really mess with your mind on that. >.< The people online are insanely good from what I've played so far. I played against a guy the other day with a record of 236W 6L(I actually beat him once ^-^). But there's a "Rivals" option, which doesn't always, but will typically pick people with the same stats as you. There're also Worldwide which as it says, will put you against anyone, Regional(NorthAmerica for most of us), and of course, Friends(which will search for your registered friends). I kinda wish they'd let you do more with it. They offer 20 of the 32 tracks, you can have up to four people in a game, and you pretty much just race, four rounds like any regular cup. I wish they would've offered the Battle Mode games, or at least something else. Still it's tons of phun. My current Win/Loss record is 25W:33L. One thing I don't quite understand about it is what counts as a win or loss. For instance, if four people are racing and you come in second, it'll play the victory tune. Or if the wins and losses are collective(where you have to have the highest score out of all four races to get a Win). Sometimes it seems one way, others another. It's not a big deal though, unless you're one of those people who want people to shudder when they see your win/loss record.. like me.

What tracks are missing in the online mode?

Oh... I'm not sure exactly what the thought process in choosing Tracks was. Infact, I seriously wish they'd have put all 32 tracks in. I don't know if I can recall offhand, but the available tracks are - Figure Eight Circuit
- Yoshi Falls
- Cheep Cheep Beach
- Luigi's Mansion
(aka all of Mushroom Cup)
- Desert Hills
- Delfino Square
(aka half of Flower Cup)
- DK Pass
- Mario Circuit
(Half of Star cup)
- Wario Stadium
- Rainbow Road
(Half of Special Cup)
- SNES Mario Circuit 1
- N64 Moo Moo Farm
- GBAPeach Circuit
- GCN Luigi Circuit
(all of Shell Cup)
- N64 Frappe Snow Land
- GCN Baby Park
(two from Banana Cup)
- N64 Choco Mountain
(only one from Leaf Cup)
- SNES Choco Island 2
- GBA Sky Garden
- GCN Yoshi Circuit
(Three from lightning cup)
I think those are they... so anything that's NOT there, you can't play.So what is that? Waluigi Pinball, Shroom Ridge, Tick Tock Clock, Airship Fortress, Peach Gardens, Bowser Castle, Donut Plains, GBA Bowser Castle 2, SNES Koopa Beach 2, GBA Luigi Circuit, GCN Mushroom Bridge, and N64 Banshee Boardwalk? Yeah, that adds up. Kinda sad, some of those are my favorite levels...
