Quite frankly, whether fighting game fanatic or not, this is going to be a game which nobody can afford to miss. I assume that at least a few of you tried Soul Calibur II right?... And loved Sueng Mina fervently, right?!... Come on. Anyways, Soul Calibur 3 is to be released October 25th this year, and IT'S AMAZING. Graphically, it's better than the predecessor. Almost every character from the previous are featured in this title (even Siegfried), and on top of that, they put the one feature in the game which I had always wished for but never had imagined obtainable. Yes, character customization with gladiators and pirates. ;D You see, besides editing the colors of pre-made characters, a vast customization system is available for creating your own origininal fighter! 10 classes, 10 weapons, and 14 points of customization (not including gender and item color). Classes include barbarian, thief, ninja, monk, dancer, and saint originally, although you can also unlock gladiators, samurai, assassins, and pirates. Weapon wise, you get to choose from kunai, bo staff, lance (jousting type), broadsword, short sword with shield, tamborines, knives, axes, and more. Trust me, it will be even better than the last. Er, no cameos this time around... I never liked Link anyways.

What?! You never liked Link?
Don't be jealous cause you can't use him like I can. Either way, yes...the 3rd installment of Soul Calibur sounds promising.

Good lord, can't somebody else please not like Link!? For Pete's sake! His entire dictionary of vocabulary is 2 grunts and he's the most stereotypical RPG character I can think of. It must just be his special weapons. Well... to each his own. Anyways, I beat SCII perfectly as well. I simply rented it a bagillion times.

Oh yeah, a new trailer was just released (due to Gamespot's EXTENSIVE coverage of the Tokyo Game Show news) for Soul Calibur 3. If possible, this might make the game look even better. If that's possible that is. Here ye go.Really, er, it's not a very informative trailer. But it does show Sueng Mina in it, and she has a cool new jacket!

Sorry to double post. Anyways, here's a list of just about every other new feature which I have not mentioned yet, copied from my Interordi topic: -Actually, the story is that Siegfried managed to break free of Nightmare through the weakening of Soul Edge. However, someoneone (unknown) has revived Nightmare and now the living fragment of the Soul Edge seeks more souls in order to continue living. Therefore, both Siegfried and Nightmare exist in the game (Nightmare is awesome, mouths on armor instead of eyes and a centurion helmet). -Characters missing from this game include all cameos, Necrid, Yoshimitsu, and Sophitia. -10/25/05 is the American release date. -Previously, I heard you would be able to choose your character's voice. Now, I have learned that your character's lines will actually vary depending on the tone set by their outfit. For instance, if your character wears all black, they will act evil. If your character wears all light colors, they will act... less evil. -From what I just read in the article in GamePro, each character class has seven accessible "fighting styles" to master. Furthermore, the game not only gives you the forementioned 14 points of customization, but apperantly, also tons of unlockable items for each point. Additionally, similar to Smackdown vs. Raw 2005, clothing can be multilayered. FURTHERMORE, multi-layered clothing even tears during battle. Hrmmmm...... And that's all the news I have... Yes, I did play Smackdown vs. Raw. It's got a great character customization feature! To see the original thread, view this link: www.interordi.com/mboard/viewthread.php?tid=9868

Sweet. Looks to be quite promising. I don't own SC2 (My cousin does; I head over to his place to play; he has the GameCube version). Every time we do battle, he chooses Nightmare ; I usually go with Cervantes or Voldo! ;D Out of all the characters, I have to say Maxi and Kilik are some of my best. If all else fails, I call in Ivy!

Yes! Thank you so much Bola! I've been waiting forever for someone to post so I don't have to triple post to get out all this new information. And yes, Cervantes is teh awesome pirateness. You must be good to use Maxi, Ivy, and Voldo well. Their fighting styles are pretty strictly professional. A person using Ivy actually won the last tournament. Alright, I do now know a whole lot more. Probably the best place to check for advanced info would be www.soulcalibur3.usor the Wikipedia entry on Soul Calibur 3. Anyways, new info on the game includes a few very interesting facts. Actually, the Wikipedia described this as suspicous screens from leaked info, and I'd rather not post a link to the screens as its all pretty conspicuos. You know, I'd prefer not to get involved. [glow=green,2,300]SPOILERS AHEAD![/glow]New sources say that actually, just about EVERY Soul Calibur character is in some way playable in Soul Calibur 3. Lei Long, Alexander "Rock," Raphael's girl Amy, and others return as pre-made character customization characters. Also, it turns out that Sophitia and Yoshimitsu and are still playable as unlocks. Also, twould appear that slight modifications have been made to the custom character class selection, and there is now a knight class mentioned as well. It's also possible that Pirate and Gladiator have been removed, but more likely that instead they are available as secret classes. It's also possible that Assassin class was mixed into the Thief class. In addition, it seems there may be a larger and more unique set of weaponry available than I first realized. I've seen about three types of swords (katanas, zweihanders, sword+shields), kunai, daggers, mauls, knunchaku, tamborines, fans, staffs, enormous knight's lances, and possibly even more. Another new character is a "random fighting style" character with an owl head. There's also a new end boss who looks like the messed up Soul Edgey golden skeleton of Zasalamel. The new story mode is awesome. Not only does it feature full dialog and actual cutscenes, but you can even make choices and responses during the cutscenes. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself. Another new mode I forgot to mention is a fairly simple ladder match type tournament where you fight randomly generated opponents, probably for prizes. SUPAH EXCITED!

Wow.. Someone used Ivy to win a Tournament?! Now that's cool! ;D Man.. Looks like Namco's going over the top to make sure that this is one of the greatest fighting games ever to exist on this planet! Hey, regarding my last post about the characters I use.. I just experimented with the controls until I found something that worked. And about the other characters my cousin and I use whenever we play... I can name them off the top of my head!! He's just too predictable!
