Don't tell me I'm the first to make a topic about it. Yeah, I'm playing Lunar Legend for GBA, and I've become hooked like you would not believe. Last night I played for like five hours straight. Till like 5AM. Yeah, but this is the only game I've played this far. I picked it up because I heard they were releasing a Lunar game for DS. I've long since known about it, but didn't have any way of making money back then so I never bothered. So now I decided to check it out, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any of the other games. Please don't tell me I'm the only one here in love with this series. O.O

You're not the only one in love with this series ^_^
I beat Lunar Legend in two sittings, but it was still one of the best games I've ever played. I never played any of the others, but I heard there's a somewhat rare PSX version with voice acting called Lunar Silver Star Story.

Two sittings...? My gawd. I'm in love with it but I'm probably not even halfway through. I'm in Meribia looking around for Ghaelon or however you spell it... Mia's mom just recently turned out to be an imposter. I don't think I'm that far at all... I could be but aside from last night I haven't been playing all that much. And I lost a ton of progress one day when I set it down for a while and forgot about it... then my battery died. ...>_< Awesome game though. One of the few - shoot, the ONLY game that I haven't minded having to replay a certain area to make up for losing progress. I love it. I better be careful, it might take Legends's place at #1.

Take Legend's place??? *GASP* What about Yuna???
Of course, I've always thought Ghaleon was really hot (at least when he's not wearing that awful hat) and Lunar Legend isn't my favorite game of all time. You're about halfway through the game. If you really get stuck looking for Ghaleon check Gamefaqs.com. It's never failed me once.

lol, I finished the game like a week or two ago. I gotta say the series is very very interesting. I was kidding about it being better than Legends, but I dunno... really looks pretty interesting, I'd really like to play more.
As far as characters go, I'd confess I'm a tad obsessed with Mia. Not as obsessed as I am with Yuna, but obsessed no less.

This seems to have been buried a while back, but let's revive it for a pertenent question. ;D I was wondering, has anyone tried the new Lunar DS game? It's been out for a little while, and it didn't get gorgous reviews. They blame it on the gimmicky exp/item obtaining system and the lack of the ability to target a specific monster during battle. Graphic-wise though, it looks amazing. I really wanted to pick it up, but lately I've been questioning my allegiance to buying a DS. Nippon Ichi's chosen the PSP... I'm a Lunar fan myself, although the only two I've played are remakes of the original versions: Lunar Legend for the GBA and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue for the PSX. I hate Lunar 2 by now, although it's story was great. I'm at the highest possible level and I still can't beat Zophar!!! My favorite character is Jessica. A mallet and claws? Who wouldn't love her?

I'd planned to buy Lunar Dragon Song when it came out, but I spent my money on a GameCube, and at the moment I'm flat broke. Which is really sad because there're like 5 or 6 other DS games out right now that I wanna buy too.. >.< The battle system in the game sounds terrible(can't even choose who to attack? o.o), but I love the series with a passion. Awesome, awesome story. And I've only played Lunar Legend, the supposed worst game in the series... o.o (sprites rock hard core though... must learn to sprite like that...) I figure I should pick up Dragon Song sometime soon and edjucate myself.
As far as characters go, I think I said so already, but I ♥ Mia. She pretty.

Mia and Lemina were both really cool, but I guess you do have to give Mia points for personality... I mostly just sat back and watched Aim play the games, but I did really enjoy them. I remember sitting on the couch during the Christmas break we were playing Lunar 2. I had an awful headache, and I would keep firing off awful, corny jokes every two seconds about every little thing... "Buy two and go double platinum!" was my favorite joke line. The in battle lines are all really wierd in Lunar 2. By the way, does anyone know if there's any point behind collecting Fab items, or items like them? The ones that say "Buy fab. Get all fab." They sell for a bunch, but I was holding on to them just in case.

I've been meaning to check out Dragon Song for a while, but I keep putting off going to the mall. Once I get it, I'll provide some decent information, but even if it does stink I'm just glad they've gone and made an RPG for the DS. And Lunar, nonetheless. Even if it is no Legend, I haven't started up an RPG since last Christmas and at this point would be glad to get another one.

Lunar Dragon Song is just okay. Partially because it's not the same developer as the other games, and partially because Working Designs didn't do the translation---their PSX and Sega CD versions were superb. The character designs are comparable, though. It's fun, and the music is really good. It's also pretty long, too. A good pick up if you have a DS.
