Anyone besides me played Killer7? I think it's pretty freakin' good, although I can see how it might be off-putting to some people.
By the way, even though this post isn't inappropriate, the game is M-rated, so I don't want anyone under 17 telling me they played it. Or I'll have to report you to the ERSB and Senator Lieberman immediately.

I'm almost 21 so you can't report me =P
I've heard about this game but haven't played it. I don't play that much M-rated games (last one was GTA: SA)
Any background info on the game, namely the story and what's it about, not the actual violence??? XD

It's hard to say specifically without giving too much away, but basically, you play a team of assassins trying to stop a terrorist organization from doing bad stuff. What makes the game so unusual is the unique visual style and the very different control scheme, which are off-putting to a lot of people. Also, a lot of the plot will blow by younger players, anyway, so they REALLY shouldn't be playing this one.
Also, this is the only M-rated title that I actually own, if that means anything.

Video Game ratings have meant next to nothing for a long time - probably since waaaaay back when there were only like three ratings for games. They're really only there so people can't sue game companies, I think. It's really up to the parent of the child, as to whether he or she can play it. And it most certainly isn't your place to say anything about it. That said, I don't have any of today's home consoles, and thus, none of today's games. that and I don't really have any interest at all in these uber-violent games everybody's all psyched up about. I just came here to make that little comment about game ratings. So yeah. Nyeeeeeeeeh

Only GamePro seems to say it's bad, but it seems interesting. They only M-rated games I play are the ones I can forgive.
M-rated games I forgive:
Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3
God of War
Nano Breaker
Well, I think that's it.
Oh! Those are just the non-FPS ones.

I don't really play FPS's, so I can't really comment on that. I technically do own Metroid Prime but have never actually played it. Hm. I don't play a lot of M-rated games, but I have been playing God of War recently and have been liking it quite a bit.
Yeah. That and Killer7 have been about it for me lately as far a M ratings go. Or basically, ever.

Yeah, I'm not big on M-rated games or violent games in general, but something about Killer 7 struck me as intruiging. I don't want my little brother playing it though, so I think I'm going to have to refrain from buying it (either that, or I'm going to have to hide it REALLY well.)

I say hide it REALLY well. Put it in your favorite game's case, and put your favorite game in the Killer 7 case. As for God of War, it's all about button-mashing, but that's its one combat issue. It IS pretty challenging, though.

Looks like I've decided what to spend my birthday money on . I don't think switching the discs would work on my brother though. I tried doing it with Tales of Symphonia because I didn't want him accidentally saving over my file and he found it anyway since we both have a tendency to start playing games we haven't touched in a long time or already beaten. I bet the only place he wouldn't look for a game would be in the back of the freezer, and that would probably wreck the disc.
