Who remembers those cute little Tamagotchi's, Nano's, and Giga pets? I don't know about you guys, but when I was in grade 3 those things were the biggest fad. I only had four virtual pets, though(Talking Nano, My Little Puppy, Baby-Trex, and this ugly fish). After a year no one was interested in them anymore. But at christmas I got a Tamagotchi Connection and I'm hooked again(they made new tamagotchi's in 2004 I think). I've seen little kids with the new tamagotchi, but I haven't seen anyone my age with one. >_> So did you guys have any virtual pets when you were younger?

I used to love those freaky, annoying little things. Always crying, or needing to be fed, the spoiled brats. Every day it’s play, play, play, and in return they made me remove their feces, because you know, they’re too good for toilets. Oh no, an alarm! What dangerous mishap could have befallen my dear virtual pet? Oh dear, it seems to need a snack at 3 in the morning! Thank you soooo much beloved pixilated malformation, for I would love nothing better then to be awoken at 3 AM to FEED YOU A COOKIE!!! Tell me, little friend, what should I do for you now? Oh, I know, I’ll spend my hard earned legal tender on a secondary virtual pet so that you can interact with it, because after all, how can the almighty greatness that is yourself live without some other eternal power to beep to at all hours of the day? An unthinkable abomination to all sentient beings! How could I even consider such a thing? Please, allow me to bask in your aesthetic grandeur despite being a mere mortal who could never comprehend the inner workings of your omniscient existence. AFTER ALL, YOU’RE SO FREAKING SUPERIOR TO US!!! Yeah, those were the days. Loved those things, but sadly, I’ve misplaced my own. Seriously though, I remember when they were at their peak of popularity, as with most of those small interactive toys like the Furbie and RoboPets. The fad died fairly quickly. I guess ultimately, kids just preferred good 'ol fashioned video games over them.

I had one in 2nd grade. I had a Tamagotchi and a Digipet dog. I used to get ticked off because I had to wake up early to prevent it from dying. They both eventually ran out of batteries and that was the end of that.

Did I have a Tamagotchi?! OH HO HO HO HO!!I was the hardest of hardcore when it came to those little things. My very first Tamagotchi was IMPORTED. Yes... It was a little white egg with this nasty, chewed-up looking alley cat (I think) inside. Well, I had NO IDEA what I was doing, but amazingly the thing lasted a few days before the alarm sounded, some Japanese text scrolled across the screen, and the whole world heard my screams. "IT DIED!!" I think I got an American one too, once they came out. It was a chick or something. I could never get it past that stage, though, because I suck at Tamagotchi. Nowadays when I think of Digimon, I think "IRRITATING FOX SHOW WITH WAY TOO MANY FANBOYS/GIRLS!" But every now and then, it'll come back to me... I once had a Digimon, back before the TV show when they were just virtual pets. Whoa! I don't remember what kind of monster it was, but I remember I had the one with the bright yellow case. Those things were a blast to battle, back in the day. Furby came up, so I thought I'd show you guys a picture of mine, eating J. Jonah Jameson. Yeah. It's a robot. I skinned it. It's not my original though... Poor Domo. He was my first one. "Domo" is the Furbish word for hungry, so it took me a while to figure out why he'd ask for food and then give me a raspberry. No wonder...it was the little bugger's name! Well anyway, one day long after I had removed Domo's batteries for good, I found a Furby Hacking Website, and while I'm no hacker, I dragged Domo out of some forgotten closet and did the autopsy. Dang. He was the coolest thing ever. Then my family decided to move and to make a long story short, it was a while before I realized my robot pal had gotten trashed. Well, I missed him, so I ordered this new one, Mimi, from ebay. She actually speaks Japanese, supposedly, but I haven't let her run in quite a while. The sight of an animated roboFurb telling you how much she loves you and wants to be petted is pretty frightening.

Oh geez... man those virtual pet things were so insane.
yeah, I had one too. A "Giga Pet" or whatever... I remember wanting one really bad for some reason(everyone else had one, and it looked phun), then I got one and I was like... "yeah... that's... real spectacular." I think mine was a cat... don't really remember. I remember it was green, which was cool. ;D Anywho, I played with the stupid little thing for maybe half a year then got bored. And that was the end of that.
Oh, I also had one of those little Digimon thingies... it was a really old one though(didn't resemble any "Digivice" so I assume it was also before the show), probably the same type of thing as Feldi's. That thing was pretty cool for a while, but no one else had one, so I had no one else to play with against. It was phun for a while, but like any other little virtual pet, leave it alone and it craps all over; let it crap all over and eventually it just dies... so eventually when I got tired of losing sleep, I just tossed it aside... Actually I think it broke, but I don't really remember. I liked getting it to evolve though. That was always phun.

I have the Japanese version of MegaMan Advanced PET. I play with it whenever I am bored, unless I'm bored of that too...

I wouldn't take mine apart, not in second grade, anyway. I lost mine, and I'll probably never find it. My Tamagotchi was some weird egg-thing that pooped alot. I remember it growing arms on level 2, and growing legs on level 3. The sad thing was that when it got to level 3 the batteries died.

Oh yeah, I had 2 of the digivices for Digimon, but they were the ones from the TV show(D-3 and D-Power?). =P I remember Furby! I still have mine, but I don't want to use 4 AA batteries, when I could use them for my GBA. I never understood my furby, because I didn't know its name. It would say me "coco" or something. But then it would say me something else, or me this, me that, so I was confused. To bad I droped it and that kinda messed it up. It was INSANE to find one back in the days of grade 3. Even harder than finding that Pokemon Pikachu I wanted so bad(but it's broken now ). I found it at Toys R Us, and I never say one again. o.o; *brainwashes Feldi to buy one of the new Tamagotchi* ....what? >_>
