I actually like this idea. I mean, I would rather have the original MMLEX, but this sounds like a really fun game.

Well dude, i didn't quite get your 'anything', so i'll throw some of them here: I don't know, metal, maybe... Wood, this is wood, w-o-o-d. Using them in a random 3D scene: Random bustershot and resized for use in other game i was making... Random doodle GO! Some other in-game sprites... img69.imageshack.us/img69/5593/junospritesmadebymeud1.pngEDIT: Too big, url'd. Voice acting and other thing i might have forgotten will come tomorrow or later... My head hurts. EDIT 2: If you think the buster sprite is ugly, then it's your fault. I made it as quick as i could.

OK, i was unclear. The textures i'll be needing the most are reaverbot surface metal! Can you do that?

Well, if you like them textures, i think i can throw a pair or more. I'll just ask in return: You being 100% prescise, giving a lot of detail on your request. That be all.

Most of your current textures don't look bad, but our texture sizes are near 512x512~ or 256x256 because thats optimal for the best quality. I understand in GameMaker it might be slow to test considering it uses software rendering, but it its needed i can whip up a texture test environment.
edit: Some suggestions for your Metal textures: Use some glossiness and shinyness if you can. It gives a polished effect. You can use gradients to make glossiness.

Is not a problem for me. Anyway, since i've got no texture requests until now, i came to notice you that i'm leaving this forum for the loooooongest time possible, at least to see if something did advance etc. So, please e-mail your requests and notice about the project to me, i'll be glad to work with you guys.
E-mail: patt.ytto@hotmail.com
Note: PM's won't work since, as posted above, i won't come back for a very long time.

As far as textures go, someone on this board was editing Legends 1 and was able to rip models etc. from it. Also, some even imported them into Unreal Tournamnet 04, if you all recall.
Why not just ask them to get the textures from the game. Even if you didn't want to use them, you could always get them, and build off and edit (like adding a brushed steel look to the reaver bots or whatever tickles your fancy).
Also, this idea seems like it could work. Like if you had the gameplay just like original legends, and tweak some things (personally I like the idea of the Zenny actually dropping, it makes it more intense, since someone could steal it). It would be cool if you made the game lobby in 3D and you could walk around in there, talk to others, and go to the Junk Shop to upgrade. Also, I see your idea, I think. Make this, to hammer out gameplay and feel etc and to build the game engine, and then when you actually wanna make a Single player game, you could just add in the levels, story etc.

???Has anyone tried to make a MOD of the PC version of MML? I mean then really all we'd have to do is make new maps, story and cutscenes...

I don't know about anyone who's been around longer(anyone and everyone), but my eyes glaze over just looking at a hex editor.
