Well... there isn't much to update on really. Great way to start out a post huh. What this post is really just to let you know MMLEx isn't dead, and that I personally need some help. I'm learning to model, and I've gotten to the point where I need concept art to continue. If anyone can do two profiles of the Master (side and front, proportional to each other. Meaning that I can line the two pictures up and they are almost exactly the same proportion wise...) This will be good practice for me to model.
If you want to help me out with the modeling class, but not be associated with MMLEx, that will work also. If you want to help with MMLEx great.
If you don't want to hear a rant... then skip the next paragraph
MMLEx... I've become more of a spectator more than anything else. I was skilled enough to help before MMLEx really took off in terms of quality. I've become more a figure head of sorts... doing nothing at all for the game in nearly a year! Sad huh, the most I've done is consult the team, and maybe give a few ideas, but thats it. Thats why I'm learning to model... not just model, but animate, texture, and anything else needed to make a fully functional model. This means MMLEx will be able to be produced much more quickly... and I won't feel like I'm useless.
More on MMLEx now is that the engine is still being developed... uh, thats all thats happened over the past few months. I know, its depressing. There is some hope... or more so another chance to disappoint everyone. My new years resolution is to have MMLEx Part 1 done before I go to college, if I fail to do this... and it goes another year... guess what next years new years resolution will be?
And for the story writers... we got more people than we expected... so Eric decided we shall have a contest on it! We will post rules and details later. Feel free to enter for fun also... the winner will be part of the MMLEx writing staff if they desire, and receive any beta releases that will not be released publicly!
On one last note... when MMLEx first was posted... I promised it would be completed, never in my wildest dreams did I think it would last more than a year... and now here we are in 2007... with no MMLEx. If MMLEx were to last another 2 and a half years... I'm sticking with it. Thats all I have to say about that.
