This is a thread where anyone can talk about any of the Disney Resorts from around the world! I'm still it that "Disney Resort" mood, which I came back from one month ago in Japan, so I'm still like "I want to go back!". Arg! Anyway, I think Tokyo Disney Resort is better than Disney Resort California. Maybe it's because of Tokyo Disney Sea. Maybe it's because Tokyo Disneyland's Halloween celebration looked better than America's. Maybe it's because Tokyo Disney Sea has Sea salt Ice cream! Gua! Disneyland's rides are awesome! I still remember Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters! That animatronic Buzz was amazing! Like, amazing! I mean, Wikipedia says "The Buzz Lightyear figure utilizes both the latest Audio-Animatronic technology combined with an innovative video rear projection system for Buzz's face, resulting in one of the most lifelike Audio-Animatronic figures in Disney theme park history.". That is also used for the snake's eyes, which appear before the 3D Genie show in Tokyo Disney Sea. The Haunted Mansion was dressed up for for Halloween! It was renamed The Haunted Mansion: Holiday Nightmare with nearly everything changed! Inside the ride, you would see ghosts at a Christmas party, another party in the graveyard, and many other things! The Indiana Jones Adventure: Curse of the Crystal Skull (In Tokyo Disney Sea) is my most favorite ride. Everything looks just like a movie, and the Indiana Jones animatronics look great! It's actually fun to wait in line, looking at the lifelike temple and skeletons. But I think the California's Disneyland had some more features, such as spikes in the waiting line or multiple door in the beginning of the ride. Forgive me, I suck at explaining things.

I've personally been to Disney World in Florida seven times. Unfortunately, it's the only Disney theme park I've ever been to at all. I've been to every park and every attraction, except Pleasure Island and DisneyQuest, though I've always wanted to try out the latter. Pleasure Island just sounds a lot like CityWalk in Universal Orlando. It's usually a rip-off to buy souvenirs at the actual shops in Disney World, except in Epcot's World Showcase, which has loads of awesome stuff. MGM Studios is really cool--one time I even got to eat dinner on a stunt show stage. My only regret was that I wasn't acting on it My favorite ride's the Rockin' Roller Coaster in MGM Studios, and my favorite attraction is that building where you get to see how they animate Disney characters, especially since they have a voice acting booth where you get to do your own voiceovers and even sing the songs for characters. It's a lot harder than it looks, but I figured out how to get the timing right before the day was up. However, the sound quality of the recording device was far from professional, probably because of the multitudes of little kids who use it on a daily basis and scream into the mic. It's really cool because they make it seem like Ursula's capturing your voice in her necklace like she did with Ariel's. I've seen Cinderella marry Prince Charming in the Magic Kingdom at least twelve times. I used to actually want to be a Disney Princess in that show when I was a kid, but then I found out that you have to be at least 5'6 to get the job. Maybe I could be Alice in Wonderland, since she's supposed to be younger...you also know you go to Disney World too much when you can strike up conversations with random employees about the fluctuations in the quality of specific attractions over time. Once I got a roll of Mickey's Vacation Club stickers for doing that, no lie. I should probably check out the other Disney theme parks too when I get the chance, or maybe go back to Disney World and find the Hidden Mickeys...

How could I have forgotten to mention Star Tours?! That's like my second favorite ride to Indiana Jones! From what I've heard from Wikipedia, C-3PO and R2-D2 are actual props from the movie! I've also heard that George Lucas plans on a Star Tours II involving Pod Races! *faints*
What's popular at Disneyland are the various popcorn flavors! I've seen flavors such as curry (don't think it's gross) and soda (like sweet popcorn?).
I haven't said why Tokyo Disney Sea is so great yet. I like Tokyo Disney Sea for it's realizm. I mean, places such as American Waterfront look like a real New York Harbor from the past. Others such as Lost River Delta looks like a real jungle with a lifelike temple for the Indiana Jones ride.
Wow Dashe! You've been to Disney World! Have you been to that Stitch's Great Escape attraction? I think that's only at Disney World. And I've seen that place where you could record your voice for Disney characters at Disneyland California. I remember I tried voice-overing for cub Simba talking to Scar.
Tokyo Disney Sea also has some hidden Mickeys. I remember there is a few in the form of bubbles near the entrance to the Mermaid Lagoon.

Yeah, I've been on the Stitch ride. It's actually an updated version of the Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter from the nineties, renovated to feature aliens from Lilo and Stitch instead of random aliens--it's supposed to make the ride more kid-friendly, according to the guys walking around Tomorrowland. Personally I didn't like the chili dog smell they blew in your face every so often. It was funny the first time, but it got old really fast. I did the Simba thing, and I sang Hakuna Matata. They really need to replace the microphones there though, or upgrade them altogether. The real VAs get much better equipment than we tourists do.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they have a Buzz Animatronic just like that in the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin attraction at WDW! The Halloween costumes were fun to see because I only go to Disney World in spring and summer, and it's amazing to notice that even though Tokyo Disneyland's halfway around the world from Disney World, from what I noticed in the pictures a lot of the architectural elements are very similar, and the character costumes are identical. Apparently, the parade songs are also just as catchy on the other side of the pacific.
As for the Tomorrowland speedway, I think it'd be cooler if you could actually drive the characters from Cars, instead of just having animatronics. In fact, I can see them renovating the speedway for just that reason...

The parks are similar because the Oriental Land Company, a Japanese leisure and tourism corporation, owns the Tokyo Disney Resort. It went to The Walt Disney Company to finance Tokyo Disneyland. Eventually, Tokyo Disneyland was built and the Oriental Land Company decided not to sell the park back to Disney. The company pays a large amount of money each month to Disney in character and likeness licenses, and Disney leases their Imagineers to the company to build and design the Tokyo Disney Resort, which includes Tokyo Disney Sea. The Oriental Land Company also owns and operates all Disney Stores in Japan. Perhaps it would be cooler to drive chibi versions of Cars. But it would also be cool to see animatronics. With the technology that the Imagineers have right now (Such as the Buzz animatronic), it would be sort of possible to make animatronics that can move like in them in the movie. More pictures of my vacation (Been a while)! Here's the Tokyo Disney Sea version of the Tower of Terror. This ride has no relation to the ones at Disneyland California and Disney World. I believe the story of this is quite different too. And here's a look at the Tower of Terror from American Waterfront. It's amazing how lifelike Tokyo Disney Sea is. Here's the Tokyo Disney Sea cruise ship. Although this ship can't sail and is just a big restaurant. It still looks amazing. There's a dam near there that has a big hole in it, spilling lots of water. That is obviously for show, which is pretty cool. I should've taken a picture of it... This is the Tokyo Disneyland version of the Nightmare Before Christmas themed Haunted Mansion. Notice Jack Skellington's coffin sleigh on the roof. The ride itself is pretty much like the American Disneyland versions, but I think the Nightmare theme is different. I think the title, "The Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare" is different too. The Imaginners worked really hard on this. So much that the ride seems really different. Lastly is Tokyo Disney Sea's Indiana Jones Adventure: The Temple of the Crystal Skull. This is one of my favorite rides in all Disney Resorts. This temple looks really lifelike as well. The ride itself is pretty similar to Disneyland California, except it only has one route, which California's has three. The ride is still extremely awesome. Tokyo Disney Sea has themes from around the world. There's also a Little Mermaid undersea theme too, which is where you would get Sea-salt Ice cream, which modeled the Kingdom Hearts II version of Sea-salt Ice cream. Except the Sea-salt Ice cream in Disney Sea is rounded and is in a plastic clam shell. Each theme area of Disney Sea look so much like that area's actual place in the world. That's one of the reasons why I love Disney Sea.
