So, we all know that when MegaMan blows Reaverbots up, they leave refractors behind. When MegaMan collects refractors, he gets zenny. But I'm a little confused about this system of money. When MegaMan goes into the junk shop, does he actually PAY with those refractors he finds? Can you imagine the Bonnes lugging that giant refractor they found at the end of Legends 1 into a shop? How would you ever make change for that?! Or, are the refractors sold for ZENNY, a completely different thing altogether? And am I just thinking too hard about all of this?  |

Well it's true about the refractors being zenny, but the refractors are also use for any type of machine like the Flutter and that one ship at Uptown in Kattlox Island. Maybe they do pay the refractors, but I highly doubt that in a way there. But that is a good question.

That makes sense, because I was thinking "Why would anyone want to buy refractors?" But since they're used to power things, EVERYONE would want to buy refractors! I think the most logical thing is that they sell the refractors they find for zenny. Not sure what zenny LOOKS like, but that doesn't matter much. Thanks!

Your welcome, you know, I was kind of confuse at first, but then I started to understand it more (maybe it's the fact that I play all of the Legend games to much, but that's all a good thing right?). But yeah, I'm glad I was able to answer your question ^_~.

Found the official answer. In Barrell's notes at the beginning of MML2, he says the big refractors are used to power things and the small ones are used as currency.

Exactly. The little ones are too small to be of much use. They probably get used in things like portable walkmans or something. It's like the old system of trading. I give you a watermelon for a small sack of potatoes. The transfer of Zenny keeps going until the little refractors get used in some other application.
