I was over in the Mega Man Network forums when I saw a post by 'hybrid' saying that he had found a Gameshark code that unlocks Servbot #41 in the U.S. version:
I've tried this code myself, but I still only see forty Servbots in my list, and nothing unusual happens when I change the order in the Training Room. Perhaps I made a mistake somewhere. Can anyone else get this code to work?

Ah, so there was a typo at MMN. Thanks, Musashi. What really surprises me is that the description for Servbot #41 is written in english. That means it's highly likely that that rest of the game's text relevant to him was also translated and that he was accessible at some point when the game was being ported. I'm thoroughly convinced now that there's a GS code to unlock him completely. Anyone up for the task?

Not nessicarily...it could just be that #41's text was in a block with other text and it was just mass translated. I wonder, though...if there had been a way to get him in the American version back when the game was released, how would it have happened? I don't think we could have gotten him the same way the DASH fans in Japan could have...

What we need to do is dump the US and JAP versions onto a computer, figure out hoe to enable the feature in the JAP version, and copy and paste it into the US version. 1Compile, 2get ticked off, 3get a debugger, 4figure out how to fix the problems that are going to be there (we are the MMLS, we have the worst luck. iDASH5 is going to be released on a phone. we're dead), 5actually fix problems, 6compile, 7goto 4, 8your done! Yay!
If you know basic, you know what I mean.
HINT: Check step 7
I'm not literally meaning that, it's just a sorta pessimistic. Also, I think you needed a special game save or cartrage. If the former, we are some lucky suns of guns. If the later, 1we're dead, 2goto 1.

That's strange. Hybrid claims that Servbot #41 only appears in the list, but it seems he can also be brought on missions. I guess the only thing missing is his appearence in the cafe.

OK i did manage to get a code to just enable servbot #41 completely not just in the menus and for missions even better its only 1 code and all the text is translated the only thing is it does not save. the code is Enable Serbot 41 8009AF0C 0001   |

hacking that code cost me a playstation (accidently dropped it while hooking one up) but i still have like three others incase something happens

This is probably the greatest thing since sliced bread. I've been trying out this code recently and it works great! I'm glad to see all the text relevant to #41 has been translated into english. Only his title "Dengeki" has been removed. Now I'm wondering if there's a GS code to make #41 the sniper Servbot in Payback. It would be interesting to see if Tron's "#41" dialogue has also been translated into english for the end scene.  |

Yes, there is! See this topic for altering Servbot stats and abilities. (I'm assuming you mean turning #41 into a Sniper.
