I noticed that there was a gameover theme for this game but seeing how you just drag your defeated butt back over to the Gesselschaft each time you flunk a mission, how DO you get a game over? Tron gets defeated so many times, she throws in the towel and decides she's the worst pirate ever? Personally, I'm thinking you have to be defeated when trying to save all the Bonnes from Loath at the end but I've yet to try it. I'm curious now. =/ "YOU HAVE LOSE ALL YOU'RE HUMAN. YOU IS LOSE!!"

Its different in MOTB, when you lose you just go to a post-mission briefing, FG I will play that end part and see what happens when I lose.
EDIT: It turns out that it lets you continue even when you lose on that part, but you can go to the main menu when you lose, But then the game froze on me.

I finally got through and died and went to main menu, no game over. I guess its impossible to get a game over...

Then's why's there a game over theme. Maybe Capcom wanted to put a game over, so they made the music, but htey had a deadline, and coudn't put in a screen.

Maybe I'm stupid, but how did you know that there is a game over theme? Is it the same as the one in MML 1 and 2? (by the by, that was one of the coolest game over songs EVER.)

I was poking through fab's mighty collection of MoTB themes (Shhhh) and found this: THE GAME OVER THEMEApparently, it does exist. The question is did Capcom use it? Even more so, how is it possible now that my previous theory is wrong? I'm now either looking to fab or Feldi. Feldi has the Japanese version of the game so they might have changed something while porting it over here. (Another final edit: Well, I think I'll try that next time I play. I don't remember hearing anything special but then again, I'm cursing as Tron is going "@_@" because I was most likely so close to winning that level with a lot of zenny.)

This is just a guess but maybe its when you lose in a mission and the music plays while the ships pick you up.

I doubt it, If you die at the end it gives you a choice to continue or go to main menu, thats probably what they did at the beginning

If you lose at the Nakkai Ruins, there is no music. You jsut hear the Servbot asking if you want to go back.

I don't think you can get game over...I've tried it a few times(I don't remember which missions)just for fun and it never said "GAME OVER" or anything.

Maybe getting back to the Geshellsgaft after a mission is gameover. In a sense...
