One Mimic in Saul Kada Ruin is strange, I found recently. It lies between two chests(one is Note 4, the other 15000Z). If you open it, it would stand up with legs, but no walking. After it lay down again, it would spew some zennies(only 400Z per time), then threw one bomb forward and closed.

AFAIK that's the only one in the game that does it. Besides the cavern on saul kada. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure Saul Kada has the only mimics that are stationary. Also I didn't see them stand up but I could have approached them wrong.

I recently watched a friend play through Legends 2 a bit and remember it quite vividly. It was a bit comedic when he realized that it can quite literally be used as an inefficient Zenny farm.
I'm not sure what the devs were thinking with that mimic. Or the leg-walkers in general... the scary bomb-spamming versions from Legends 1 were much better at their job.

How does it work as a zenny farm?

You attempt to open it, it stands up, does a dance, sits down, spits out the 400z, then it spits one bomb. Rinse and repeat.

I didn't even recall it spitting money... I think I always immediately started shooting when I opened them... since you aren't movement locked like with a regular chest, its pretty easy to determine which ones are real and not... if you're cautious.

Yeahhhh, one of the mimics in Saul Kada is no stronger than a Mandomantal, and that's the one that wingin is describing. Surprise!

There's an Engurbot in Saul Kada ruins that spits out zenny for no real reason. Doesn't serve any real purpose from a design standpoint, just drops some spare cash and leaves. As for the leg-walkers, I didn't really care for them all too much. They don't actually chase you, they just run in a set path and then shrink back down. As a kid they definitely scared me though, made me think twice about opening any chest in the game.
