(literally just made an account to talk about this) Ok so it's my understanding that Reaverbots are like, incredibly old and their origins aren't really talked about so hear me out here: The Reavers come from Elysium. Think about it; we saw non-human bots made in past classic series(Rush, Beat??) so it would only make sense Elysium had some too(since at the time they were building bots // units ). And it's stated somethings in Elysium needed refactors(the elevator at the Master's house, etc.), and what better miners than Reavers ? And maybe the reason they're all in the Ruins is because Elysium had little // no mines, so they sent them to Terra to mine there. And then Elysium shut down and a bunch of them were left for a long time, so they just continued mining waiting for Elysium to bring them back. (That would also explain why they drop small refractors when they die and why they're hostile; they're trying to protect the refractors so they can bring them back.) That's my two cents. What're your thoughts on the Reavers origins ?

Well, looking at the four key ruins from MML2, the Master System on Elysium definitely had some means of either manufacturing or repurposing Reaverbots for their own use. There were at least two locks in Calinca that depended directly on manipulating Reaverbots...but you've also got to consider that during Legends 3's development, it was confirmed that Reaverbots would at least be in the Prototype, and from the sound of things in the devblogs, they would continue to be one of the main groups of antagonists. I figured, then, that the Reaverbots themselves predated the Master System and Elysium, and the Master and his units just appropriated them for their own use later. From the look of it in the full Mega Man timeline, the earliest recorded instance of the red eye motif used with Reaverbots was Serges in X2. Not saying they're definitely related somehow, but it would be cool to be able to trace Reaverbot development back that far.

If I recall correctly, Megaman Zero 2 caused some speculation regarding Legends due to reaverbot eye appearing in the jungle level.
