This song is from a German musical that's been in localization hell for over six years now. It's based on a novel. And the song actually uses the real definition of "Gesellschaft" so I figured it was tangentially relevant to MMLS. It lapses into French at the end and they spout random English once in a while because it seems to be set in NYC and generally it just makes the amateur linguist in me very happy.

Hey if this was relevant to MML it wouldn't be in Mumbo Jumbo! This makes me realize that although I just finished my Elementary German class, I still do not know nearly enough German. Also in that class I used Gesellschaft and Gemeinshaft in the kind of creative writing portions and I think it really confused mein Professor.

Relevant to MML S, not to MML. I figured just because the word got dropped a few times, someone would be into it! I found a page with the songtext...I mean lyrics...and the person who'd transcribed it obviously didn't know French, so I had to deal with not being able to correct "vollidiot" into "folle idiote." I wish I knew why she kept dumping French everywhere. She might just think it's fancy or be one of those France weebs who collect things with the Eiffel Tower on them.
