Handlebar: Dr.Light?!!! What are you... ohwait, it's Santa. And he brought a present for Roll... how thoughtful of him. it is what she wanted after all. Although Rock himself seems that he was on the naughty list... that or the landing was toasty. I really couldn't have received a more perfect randomized combo as I did, because the very first thing that popped in my head was Trigger falling from Elysium and crash landing on santa's sleigh.

Okay here we go!
Avegodro: I really like your use of the Horunisse here as a ride for Tron. The characters look really well and I like the background with the Bonne logo with santa hats on!
Blyka: What can I say, this one rocks! I love seeing Data rock out and seeing Trigger being chased by the Mammoo was a great touch that made me laugh!
Dashe: I really enjoyed seeing this one come from you. I loved seeing Trigger and Barrett in a sticky situation and this reminds me of the old Looney Tunes where this sorta thing happens a lot. Great job with your limited resources! The reaverbots all look great and seeing Data there was a nice touch!
fAB: The comic was a nice touch this year! I read through and loved it and when it came down to the final picture I realized just how much the subgate looks like Teisel's head! Great job!
Orion: The thing I liked about your's was that Barrel just randomly seems to be there, and he's got some sort of mischievous look to him. Love it!
HF: Your art blows me away every year! Not really sure how the deck of the Gesselschaft got bombed but nothing beats a lot of action and explosions, great job!
MLT: Good combination of requests. I'm not really sure where I would have gone with it if I had gotten it but it's really funny seeing the Bonnes trying to help Glyde get out of jail!
Muz: Haha, Trigger's evil side comes out! I loved how everything is just being knocked over and the present on fire. Good work!
Raven: You've always had good pieces of art. The ruin redesign looks pretty sweet and would make for an awesome in game ruin *coughfABcoughTLTcough*
Tuga: I rather enjoyed your copy paste the legends-station resources. I had initially considered this myself before I went through with what I did. Great piece and great use of reaverbots!
Zmania: I pictured something like this when I put the request in, great job! I love the path of destruction and Tron fuming over on the side was a great touch! Thanks!
Overall everyone did a great job with their requests this year and it was fun to be in again this year! Happy New Year everyone!

I'm later than usual on this, so I'll try to be brief...ish. @ Santa MeltyYou're welcome! I had a number of ideas floating around but this seemed the most appealing and achievable given my artistic inability, so I'm glad it worked out with your original idea. And likewise, many thanks for fulfilling my prompt. Glyde art is always fun, and you really captured the sheer... pain of the moment, so kudos to your expressive ability. XD @ AvegodroAlso thanks for the fulfillment of my prompt. Nice job on the overall colors and effect, and I'm digging the background; it would make good wrapping paper. @everyone A shame we didn't make full participation this year, but we still managed to outdo last year so great job everyone. Thanks for keeping this tradition alive and well. It's a fun one. ...but I don't see any kind of Barrell reference anywhere. Am I missing something? I was planning to put Data atop a barrel for the full effect, but in the interest of time I chose to follow the rules literally when you said " incorporate elements from a second Secret Santa 2013 prompt". Hope that was okay. XD 'Twas in fact the same pose, line traced in Corel Draw (with some obvious changes). Likewise, Trigger and the Mammoo were drawn over screenshot references (free hand mouse with the brush tool, for what it's worth). Needless to say I felt pretty guilty doing any manner of tracing- a bit like cheating, really- but the real focus of this picture was the coloring, shading, styling (with an emphasis on the sharp foreground vs the blurry background), and overall atmosphere. And even tracing still took me some hours, so it counts for something... right? But yeah, it was all about playing in Photoshop, something I don't think I've done in an artistic capacity in quite some time. Pretty sure the only layer styles I used were for the whiteness and inner shadow of the foreground cracks, Data's subtle shadow against the rock and the sky gradient. Everything else was brushes. And it's hard to see at the finished size, but the brand name on Data's guitar is "High Necked". Details are always fun. XDMy thanks to those who commented on mine, and again, thanks to everyone for their contribution to this tradition! Hope the New Year is treating you all well so far.

Blyka: A rocking out Data with sweet shades and Trigger running for his life? What more could one want for the holiday season. This picture made me chuckle a bit, thanks for the laughs Blyka and good work. Those cracks in the ice look nice and I'm really digging that faded look to trigger. Dashe: This isn't the welcoming home party they were expecting I think. This picture has a certain charm to it and I sure hope our two heroes adventures get to continue and not end up as reaverbot stew. Really like the coloring on this, good job Dashe. Dragge: Tree fires, check, servbot in a box with a look of terror, check and the good guys looking like they are having a good time, check. Stop the presses we have a winner!!!* Dragge great work this picture is great, just a wonderful setup, merry Christmas indeed. fAB: You're really good at whipping up a story fAB, just Tiesel's look on that panel when he sees his head as a ruin entrance, you can see the awe. Handlebar: Well that's one way of getting home, just get back a little more crispy than usual. Good job Handlebar, really like the way you drew the characters. HF: Probably be the last time Rock asks Roll to fly him to the Gesellschaft to get his gift. Sure is a good amount of explosions and fire in this years submissions, I have no qualms about this. Great stuff as always HF. MLT: Sure hope the prison has good dental care, Glyde is going to need it. I do wonder what the Bonnes are doing sending him that cake though. Muz: Golly gee everyone here sure likes their fires and bazookas. This could be a prequel to Dragge's picture, nice work Muz, good so see some Christmas chaos. Raven: For some reason this makes me think of a game show, which wouldn't be surprising in the Legends world, TV station has gotta rake in the ratings somehow. Tuga: You can't get more unorthodox or impromptu than that, thank you so much Tuga I love it. Had me laughing for a few minutes. Sure hope they have enough reaverbots to last through another year of decorating and caroling. Z-Mania: Pretty devastating high five to take out a Hanmuru Doll, Zakobon and something of Tron's from her expression. The submissions were all great and I look forward to next years. Sorry for taking so long to review I've been busy and very successful at getting sidetracked. I would like to thank everyone for their comments on my gift for Blyka and HF. It's supposed to be a comic book cover, I might have missed a few things to make it look like one. I had a few ideas for this as maybe being brought back later in another media. Been to long since I've done anything legends related anyways. *100,000 hours in the mines!!!

Thank you, Z-Mania! I'm delighted you enjoyed it so. I'm not sure I'd call it a unique medium, but it was definitely a different style for me. Don't think I wasn't suspicious when another Teisel prompt came my way this year. I'm on to you, Dashe. >.> ( Also, I put both of these on YouTube recently: 2009 - 2013 ) Thanks Santa Melty, that's a pretty good take on the look I was going for. The texture is actually underlayed, if there is such a term, with all the gray-scale actually being semi-transparent... Though now that you mention it, I probably could have achieved the same effect with an overlay and saved myself a lot of trouble. >.< He does look rather smooth, doesn't he? XD I kind of wanted to leave Teisel's reaction open to interpretation, so feel free to keep wondering. Why thank you, Avegodro. I spent most of my Secret Santa time period trying to figure out how in the world I was going to combine my two prompts. By the time this finally occurred to me I only had two days remaining, so "whipped up" is definitely the word(s). MegaTuga, I confess I was at first a bit disappointed that my prompt was fulfilled with copy and paste (and from my own site, no less), but to read your description of it all I was pleasantly surprised to realize just how much thought was put into the whole thing. So, great job and thanks very much! And there's nothing wrong with those chibis. Being as late to the party as I am, I'll opt out of the traditional comment-on-every-piece plan, since I'd probably just be repeating things said by others. Once again though, great job everyone! That's too bad some weren't fulfilled at all. I know even if I missed the deadline I'd be sure to complete my picture after the fact.

So sorry that I couldn't meet your expectations fAB. I did my best at putting the general idea into the piece but in the end it was like this... But I'm glad that you enjoyed. Yes, despite how it looks, not everything is there just because. For example, notice the mirumijee hangings. Those took a while... I was planning on using the more plain ones from MML1 but the green-and-red combination just yelled "Christmas".
Anyway, thanks for not spanking me from using the MMLS recources ^_^

Heeey, I only started running these Secret Santas in 2011. MLT gave you "Teisel's New Job" in '09.

Oh, right. Not quite spring (that's not for another month and a half), but yeah.

Depends on the person's definition of Spring, I guess. In my mind, it's; "When stuff friggin' finally starts growing back."

Hey fellows! Sorry to have kind of high-jacked the thread there. I'm also sorry to have not done my entry even given the circumstance. I'm pretty sure both prompts I had were done in another way so that makes me feel a bit better. Anywho This was great turnout this year and I really did like all the entries and I'm grateful for your condolences. I read it all that Christmas day but I didn't comment for one reason or another. Makes me feel as if this is a home to me and it also makes me very regretful that I've been so absent this last year.

Dude, don't even sweat it! You've had more than enough reason to delay your submission. Heck, I'm more than positive that Dashe/fAB will grant you a special allowance. Also. Welcome back! Jeez, it's been ages. How've you been?

Now now, remember, we've got a real thread for going away and coming back, you know.[/lawfulstupid]
Don't forget those years where we do an unfulfilled prompt bonus round, either!
