I may just donate to the cause very soon. Very excited for the game and the fact that it's gotten over 2.2 million is crazy. Very glad it's coming to PS3. I get that hurling abuse at Capcom can be tiresome but man this whole affair here makes me want to shove it in their face. They have always been in the wrong and here is the proof. They need to swallow their bitter pill and learn a lesson but maybe their pride will prevent them from doing so. I actually had high hopes that they would announce something big a TGS but it seems like they never had anything really important planned for the 25th. At least we have Rock in SSB now. That is one ray of hope from Capcom. Maybe they will announce a new Megaman game soon. I'd really like to buy Deep Down but not until they give us a MM game. Maybe they will reconsider letting Inafune make MML3 now.

Why do I smell something dead and rotten? Oh. It's just optimism. Doesn't matter how I look at it, it seems to me that MegaMan's only there because Capcom knows a portion of the profits from Smash Bros 4 will go to them simply because he's their property. Same goes for MML3, they're going to do whatever the bloody hell they'd like with the concept, which in this case is keep it in a rubbish bin that they'll never empty out.

As a bit of deja-vu, they're having a vote for which Call design you like best.

You can vote even if you haven't donated or anything. Personally I'm stuck deciding between A, B, and I.

I voted on I. (Aye. I.)
I also have to agree that A, B, and I are also pretty good designs in themselves, and I wouldn't mind if either of the other two won. At least this vote isn't as extreme as the vote for Volnutt's Legends 3 armor was. That was terrible.

I kinda like B C and F... and I won't lie, part of it IS because they all look reminiscent of classic Roll... Particularly MM8's version, which I liked a lot. I like all of the nuances of M#9 that are like homages to the original games... like these are the same characters but in an alternate reality where things happened sort of different. I like the idea of it being a sort of clone, but still being original material... All of the stuff looks very megamanesque, but nothing is a direct recolor... So I like the idea of Call being sort of Roll-like.

I and my friend agreed on voting for F. Just seems to match up best with Becks design, plus a bit of a hint of Roll in there doesn't hurt.

Is the voting open? I didn't really see a place to do it, but I don't have any money, or even employment at the moment, so if its a paid thing I'm out of luck.

I'll give you the link. Here. Just a single question.

I ended up voting B, but I was a very close second. I felt that I was more Beck-like, but it was mentioned that Call is supposed to be more robotic, whereas Beck is an android. With that in mind I felt that B had more of a robotic touch to her. B kinda reminds me of Arale, too.

The voting link is www.surveymonkey.com/s/M9calloutthevote. I went with E; I like B, but not as a Roll equivalent (perhaps a Roll Caskett equivalent, but this is suppose to be an homage to the classic series). The B design seems like it'd be better suited for a 3rd character.

I went with F. It was sort of a lowest common denominator... I mean I liked it, but I went with it mainly because the other designs I liked didn't seem like the type of character that was right for this... (I think Inafune-san drew D himself) I like B too, but I agree she looks like a supporting character rather than a secondary protagonist like Roll.... Like uhh... what's her name...Kalinka.
also I lol'd when I read the dude's name would be Dr. White... I liked C and G too, though C has a weird unicorn thing going on that I'm not enthusiastic about...but her overall design is cool. G reminds me a bit of Alicel from Ragnarok Online.

I think I voted for B. B looked like she could have pants painted onto her later, which would be more practical during co-op mode. Overall I liked the first batch of designs better than this one, though, and I'm not particularly attached to any of the designs presented.

This is a proof-of-concept that the team made in 7 days to test the Unreal Engine. Obviously the real game will look a lot more polished, but this is super impressive regardless. My expectations shot way up! EDIT: Also, for those wondering/disappointed that the game isn't 2D sprites, the Unreal engine has tons of potential and 3D models can be used to create that 2D 'look'. One has to look no further than the trailer for Guilty Gear Xrd to see what I mean.

Wow...color me impressed, really. I actually like this graphical style. And no complaints of no use of 2d sprites here. 3D can look just as good as 2D if you do it right.
Just by observation...the jump animation and its "weight"...seems slightly tweaked from classic Megamans, but I actually like it. Anyone notice this?

It looks like Mighty No. 9 might not hit it's 3DS/PS Vita goal, but damn am I ever glad I pledged anyway. Besides, it's coming to every current and upcoming home console and computer brand, so that's something.
