(Sub note: I apologize if there's a thread for this already...but I could not find one for the life of me. So I'm creating one from scratch)
This is a thread to discuss about Model Kits based on any of the Rockman Series. This also includes Garage Kits, and even Resin Kits. You can also discuss tools of the trade, recommendations for paints and other sorts of details when building any of the Model kits. Feel free to share your collection of kits, too!
-------
Alright, so let me share my collection of Kits. Note that NONE of them are built yet, as I don't have the tools for it currently. They are:
-RX Armor (Return X), Bandai. Translucent Armor version. I plan on custom painting the parts that normally use the included stickers, as well as a few non sticker parts such as the hands, and the face. He does NOT come with the proper cheek marks on the face...because this is basically from X that your building from. His pupils are not even red...
-Gaia Armor X (yes, its spelt that way...), Jazwares. I bought this for VERY cheep, so I figured I'd snatch it up while it lasted. While the box for it was untouched..the colors on the armor are all yellowed from age...hmm. Going to completely repaint him. He's also made of cheep plastic, and i do mean cheep. His sculpt is rather okay though.
- Megaman Zero, Kotobukiya. One of my favorite kits to own so far apart from RX armor. I hear there are a few flaws though- mainly the shoulder joints having the tendency to snap when built...I'm thinking I may have to sand it down but I have no idea how much. Need to look up more on the issue. He also has the best looking boxart.
-Megaman, Kotobukiya. Very good kit. Haven't heard of any build problems so I'm assuming its near flawless. Unfortunately my box came with a hole poke din it...but thats okay since the box wont be displayed anyhow.
Now, there are some Model kits i'm looking forward to getting someday. The old Zero Bandai model kit would and its various Armors be good, and I'd love to get my hands on the Hypershell Rockman Dash Model Kit. The newly announced X Model Kit also looks fantastic. All I need are some of the basic tools and i'll be set for building some kits. Luckily my local Hobby Lobby holds this from time to time, so I will be snatching that up someday. Also need some Gundam Pens to use on the RX Armor...which may be my first build after I practice with a old Gundam kit I bought at a flea market for 1 buck.
