Well, I've never actually seen Skyrim, but that looks like something out of a fantasy movie from here. Or maybe Yor: The Hunter From the Future!Nah, that headpiece and the weapon are way better looking than anything out of that monstrosity. I honestly can't tell how you made either of them by looking at them, which is a great sign.

Dashe, we really need to ship Laura off into the desert, just so we can record her running around aimlessly with that outfit. Awesome job, though, Laura. Definitely faithful to the original version. I applaud your courage for wearing such an outfit, too.

That outfit seems that it was taken from babylon A.D. Or something... eeeh. Skyrim... I still have my doubts about that game but meh, let's leave that for other time.
Anyway, you are looking very nice laura, The whole costume seems kind of hard to reproduce... and don't get me started on the hairstyle, it's beautiful.

Or maybe Yor: The Hunter From the Future!Nah, that headpiece and the weapon are way better looking than anything out of that monstrosity. I honestly can't tell how you made either of them by looking at them, which is a great sign. Hahahahah, I would fit right in in that video!! And thanks for your compliments. Also, for anyone who is curious, here's how I made the sword. Luckily, I also took some pictures while in the process. Supplies: Wooden dowel, duct tape, antler tips (bought on Ebay), brown paint, Gesso, cardboard, fabric glue, suede fabric, and twine I started out by painting the wooden dowel a dark brown. I painted it for no reason whatsoever, apparently, because it ended up completely covered in the end. Then I laid out all of my antler tips and arranged them how I wanted them to appear on the sword. After that, I busted out the duct tape to attach the antler tips to the dowel. I used a lot of duct tape...Then I drew the tip of the sword on cardboard and cut out two identical pieces. I then duct taped them together and painted over it with Gesso. After the Gesso dried, I used copper and silver paint on the tip of the sword. I duct taped the antler tips some more. On the last layer of tape, I used brown duct tape so the silver would not show through at all. After that I took my suede fabric and tore it into long, thin pieces. I wrapped the pieces around the sword a few times, using fabric glue here and there to make sure the fabric wouldn't slip off. And last but not least, I wrapped the sword in twine. It hasn't fallen apart yet, so that is a good sign! Attachments:

...It's a sword?
I'll be sure to try that out next time I find myself with a surplus of antler tips!

Once again, duct tape has proven that it is the be-all and end-all tool for all creation. All glory to the duct tape!

:o @.@ O.O
If it weren't for that five word minimum rule, that'd be the entirety of my post.
Great job! and the costume really suits you, too. You are a true artiste.
(Getting really tired of proboards losing my posts in errors. argh!)

Dashe - Don't knock the antler tips! It took me awhile to figure out what exactly I was gonna use for the spikes! I also bought real buffalo teeth; they are sewn on to my gloves and my boots! Haha. @kyle - I agree, that duct tape saved my life. I tried drilling a hole in each of the tips and threading twine through it and around the dowel, but that failed. Then I tried gorilla glue, and all sorts of other types of glue, which also failed miserably. SketchMan3 - Thank you, I appreciate your compliments. I really was pretty apprehensive about wearing that to a con! I've worn it to two and it gets a lot of attention. Probably partly because I am a half clothed female around mostly males, and because the whole outfit is just completey ridiculous. I had a lot of fun creating it though. I really am just a novice when it comes to sewing, so this was a perfect costume to make, since it didn't have to be perect.

I'm not knocking them, I've worked with set design and have had my fair share of weird embellishments. I genuinely didn't know parts of antlers were vendible commodities. I mean, what do they do with the rest of the antlers? It's like a muffin top phenomenon.

Yeah, I can't lie- I never knew they existed before I did this project either. I don't even really know how I found them. It makes me wonder what other people do with antler tips. Haha.
