Yesssssssss! That's right people. We're getting a movie adaptation of a video-game that isn't being made by Uwe Boll! The writing in Ratchet & Clank was always the stuff of legends, so if the official writing team is actually working on this project, we're going to have something amazing on our hands! Gotta' admit. I laughed pretty hard at Qwark's wire-frame joke.

Oh my god. Ohhhh my god. BE STILL, MY BEATING HEART! My favorite game franchise of all time is getting a movie made! This is without a doubt one of the happiest moments of my life. I can't wait until it comes out. Heck, I know I'm gonna see it, and I know I'm gonna get it on DVD too a few months after it leaves theatres, that's for sure. A Ratchet & Clank movie will be a definite addition to my DVD collection!

Too bad it's being released on 2015. I wish it was released earlier. Also, it's about the first game. It makes sense to make a movie about Ratchet's origins (And Clank's relative beginnings), but I'm afraid it'll feel like another repetition of a story I've seen numerous times. At least they decided to stick with the modern art style. The IGN interview did state that the budget was low for the movie, but with Insomniac helping with production and animation, the Ratchet and Clank series write writing the movie script and with the quality of the teaser being a possible proof of the movie's quality I feel everything will work out even better than fine.
P.S. After some afterthought, I'm beginning to like the idea of the movie's plot being the one from the first game. My cousin started playing the Ratchet and Clank games starting from the first game in the Future trilogy. I bet a lot of people started playing at some point that is not the first game, as well as most probably other people that will start playing from some later point in the franchise. This movie is a great way to not only introduce people to the franchise, but also for players to know more about the Ratchet lore without playing the original(s).
Besides, remember this quote written about "Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction"? : "...the first game to truly deliver the long-sought 'You are playing a Pixar movie' experience." - New York Time

I had never played any of the Ratchet & Clank games before, but this looks very cool. I especially like the graphics.

2015? I might die from this wait. Ratchet and clank has always delivered, but they haven't made a new game for a while and I don't know if they plan to. I'm hoping a new game will be made after the movie since more people will be aware of R&C

2015? I might die from this wait. Ratchet and clank has always delivered, but they haven't made a new game for a while and I don't know if they plan to. I'm hoping a new game will be made after the movie since more people will be aware of R&C Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was released on November 27, 2012. Before that, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One was released on October 18, 2011. I don't see how "a while" has passed since the last releases. Also, the Vita version of Full Frontal Assault was released this week, together with Deadlocked HD. (The latter one being free for people that own Full Frontal Assault in either disc or digital form, but still being available at $9.99 for people that don't.) Something noteworthy of this PS2 HD Port is that it has its own server for online play, something not common in PS2 HD Ports. (Though it is common in Arcade Ports) A new game to coincide with the movie's release or little after? Depends. I wouldn't like to see a rushed Ratchet and Clank game. The movie does feature the story of the first game, so they could just re-market that. Then again, it is quiet old and lacks many of the new modern features, like the staple weapon upgrade system. I guess they could just re-market the whole HD Trilogy again, release a compilation of the Future Saga or make an even bigger compilation. (Or release Happy Meal toys. That works too.)

All4one was nothing like the other games though and felt more like a minigame, and Full frontal assault was short and wasn't that good either. They did a compilation for the first 3 but for the Future games they probably won't do it because it's already HD.
