I'm holding a papercraft of the Legends 1 Gesellschaft model in my hand right now and I'm completely stumped as to where the deck from MOTB was supposed to be located. I mean, from here it looks like it's on that raised circular platform at the very top, judging from the amount of sky showing, the size of the stairladderwell and the angle of the railing... ...But when you look at the model, which looks like it was just ripped straight from Legends 1, there's really nowhere you could put it, unless that cylindrical cover on the top is retractable. It doesn't look like something you could easily take off and store, and generally speaking, putting a deck at the very top of a massive airship, where, if you fell overboard, there really aren't many places to grab onto. You'd also think that thing that looks like a gun turret would be easier to spot.
Why nix that bathroom they had and keep a deck that doesn't make any sense? The bathroom at least made sense. Ask where it is and you can just shrug and go, "Eh, somewhere in the Gesellschaft. There are probably hundreds of rooms in there we don't know about." Not so much for the area that's shown to clearly be outside.

I think this is just a bit of an oversight on Capcom's behalf. MoTB was developed after MML1, so they probably made that adjustment to the Gesellschaft without taking its previous design into account. As for the deck's location, my guess is that they decided to put in near the bow of the ship, right above the window slits that lead into the bridge.

That's a valid question about the deck. It could be possible that it's that little flat surface above the section with the Bonne family emblem?
I also found it confusing that they scrapped the bathroom. In fact, it wouldn't be surprising that they had another one somewhere else in the Gesellschaft.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Gesellschaft had dozens of bathrooms. There's certainly enough floor space in there to warrant it. You could probably fit twenty Flutters in there, and the Flutter has one bathroom, so...yeah.
If the deck popped out of the area above the bridge, though, the curvature of that particular spot would have to be reversed. The curved part is facing toward the Gesellschaft's body, which, if it were oriented as that green section is on the model, would obstruct the clear view of the sky Tron has in MoTB.
On the other hand, those windows in the bridge are curved in the direction the deck is actually supposed to be facing in the opening cutscene for Legends 1 and the HQ in MoTB, even though they're just a flat panel facing forward on the model. I'm guessing that part's the bridge because it's the only section that has windows. Maybe the modelers just put that whole piece on backwards.

I really have no idea, Dashe. I suppose the Gesellschaft's outer design in MoTB... retcons the MML1 design? I- erm, is that even possible?! While it does exist in MML2, you certainly don't get to see a close-up of it. So maybe my theory holds up?

Actually, yeah, that probably does hold water if you just assume they put the bridge geometry on backwards. Looking at that weird turret thing, it's probably the periscope at Teisel's seat in the HQ area.
And if Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's considered canon, the bottom half of the Gesellschaft is just one giant hangar with an engine in it. That weak square on the bottom actually has hinges and can be lowered. I'm not sure what purpose that has since there's a giant hatch on the front of the ship, but it can be done.

I'm willing to believe that the bottom half is actually the hanger. All things considered, it just makes sense, especially if they keep an engine down there, too. After all, the bottom of the Gesellschaft is one of the weak-spots that Volnutt needs to sabotage in order to destroy the ship. As for the giant hatch, I suppose they'd use it for the larger pieces of tech, such as the Marlwolf.
