Events. Right, we have those on occasion. That's why I'm testing the event calendar function right now. It'd be a lot easier if events were automatically timed than staying up till 3AM to close Secret Santa and failing. ...Actually, it looks like it isn't automating anything. The post is still appearing as normal. Anyway, uh, check to see if something weird happens to this thread Friday between 5PM EST Friday and 5PM EST Saturday. Oh, look, a calendar icon at the top left corner of the post, so people know when events start and stop. That's handy assuming every event has just one stage.

All righty. I'll do my best to be on here and see if anything will happen then.

Well, clicking on the calendar icon pops up a small window with details about when an event starts and ends, it also shows the hour according to my time zone! very useful if you ask me, (and this time it's not sarcasm)

I am not seeing any sort of special message for this. It's just on the Calendar and if you click on the icon. Did anything special happen for you since you're the one that set the event up?

Nope, I've got nothing. So far it looks like an event literally just puts a calendar icon at the top right so you can be extra-sure of the times for your time zone. If it locks this thread tomorrow at 5 Eastern though, that'd be pretty cool.

Looks like I can still post in the thread, so I guess not.

Alright. So the event calendar is useful for events with only one date range you need to pay attention to, but not much else. Got it. I don't think there's much else to test about this, so I'm gonna lock it. Event over!
